    Default date of birth issue

    My wife won American visa lottery 2013. But the problem is that the date of birth she used in the application for me the husband is 1978 . The date on my e-passport is 1979.while on my secondary certificate is 1976. This has cause alot of problem for me because i dont know the way forward. I will appreciate a sincere advice because I dont know the date of birth im going to use on the DV 122 AND DV 230 form THAT WILL BE SENT TO KCC.SHOULD WE FORGET PROCESSING THE LOTTERY. I WANT THE HOUSE TO HELP ME OUT. I DONT KNOW THE WAY OUT. ALL HER OWN DOCUMENTS REMAIN INTACT AS THE PRINCIPAL APPLICANT/PETITIONER

    Should i continue to use the date of birth on the application in the first instance to fill the ds122 and ds230, or use the date of birth on the passport.pls help me out

    Hi,
    Since your wife is the principal applicant, her credentials are the only documentation that
    really matters. You may have to obtain a new e passport to reflect the DOB on the entry
    submitted by your wife . You would not have to submit your high school certificate with a different DOB since only your wife's high school cert. is required for visa eligibility. Please verify this first..
    In alternative, your wife may just go to the interview alone after you have submitted all your
    forms to KCC as being married and she can filed for you when she is granted visa to join her
    in the US. Note that joining her may take couple of years after she is in the US.
