    Default Need advice should I apply for visa or NO..

    Hi,
    I'm a pakistan national working in uae. Would like to attend a conference in US which is being held from July 13-16 and got an invitation letter already.
    I have never been to US. But have been to schengen countries many times before. Even at the moment have valid UK and schengen visit visa on passport.

    My interview apointment is on June 6. But my friends told me that if they will put my case on Admin processing, it will take long maybe more than a month and then i will have no reason to go US after conference ends. What do you thnk will consulate fast my AP process or what??
    should i apply for visa or no?

    AP processing is totally embassy's decision.. No one outside can tell you if they will do AP.

    There is still a lot of time.

    There are other important issues;
    Is your employer sending you to the conference or are you going on your own?
    Do you have any family in UAE or Pakistan? ( wife, kids?)

    Ok. if the conference is directly relevant to your business, it should work.
    You should be able to show who will take care of your work during your absence.
    Show tentative hotel booking and conference registration .
    Also show good income ( tax returns) to fund the trip.

    If you apply now, even if there is an AP, it should go through before July.

    I think they place an application received stamp.

    But what difference does it make. They will always have it in their record about the denial.

    As per my knowledge attending USA visa in Dubai is use less. Because for no reason I got rejected. And when I was in UAE that time, I did not see any one got the visa for B1/H1 that time
