Traveling on AP via Amsterdam (H1 stamping expired)

I am travelling from New Delhi to San Fransisco via Amsterdam (3 hours stop).
My H1 visa on the passport has expired, hence I would like to know
if any transit visa is required?

Does anyone has faced any problem travelling via Amsterdam.
