Default Admission number on corrected I-94

    Hello all,

When I came to U.S a year back, there was a mistake in my I-94 (the expiry date was wrongly mentioned by port of entry officer). So I went back to CBP office @ SanFrancisco and got it corrected. No issues.

Now my question is related to Admission number (11 digit number on left top). The old I-94 has a 11 digit number in the place of admission number. (say 12345678912).

the new I-94 has two admission numbers. One number which is highlighted in black color (say 98765432198) and even the old admission number is present.

    My questions are:
    1) Will the admission number change even when we corrected I-94 ? Remember i am still in U.S and never left U.S.
    2) the new number present on the I-94 is the admission number ? I am not sure why the CBP officer highlighted (in fact kind of striked it with black color) ?
    3) If any body has similar experience, share your experiences.

    Thanks,
    Kiran Kumar
