Hi group,
I am on J1 visa and authorized to work as a high school science teacher. My Visa is valid up to sept 30, 2012. My employer is sponsoring me for H1 B and the application is under process.

I understand, since I will be using the H1 B from 2012 quota, I can start work only from October 1, 2012. My concern is, if H1 B is granted to me, can I still work using my J1 visa ? ( I already have work contract for the next year - starting from August ) OR I have to wait till October 2012 to start working ?

Can someone guide me on this, please.
