B1 visa got rejected in 1st attempt

Hi All,

I had recently appeared for the B1 visa interview but got rejected under section 214(B).

Visa officer asked me the following questions:

1) Why do you want to go to US?
2) What is the strength of your company?
3) Do you have a degree?
4) What is your monthly salary?
5) what is your annual salary?
6) Is someone already in US?

Thats it! Got rejected .

I have answered all the questions properly and truly.

I am going to re-apply for it again in next few days.

What should i take care of during interview and am i doing any mistake by re-applying so soon after rejection.

Please suggest.

Hi Shilpesh,

Even my VISA got rejected first time. I am also planning to reapply. Have you reapplied ? VISA got approved? Please let me know your suggestions..

i dont know what answer you gave for "why are you going for US"

generally, on B1 Visa, people cannt work. so you can say, Meetings, dicussion for 2 or 3 weeks and come back to India. They are expecting this answer.

Hi i am Gaffar Khan applied for B1 visa but got rejected dont know the exact reason but have to urgently for my training as can u just explain me how i can reapply again and how ?and what will be the chances?
