I came to USA in 1995 on green card by marring a US citizen but the marriage got annulled after 6 months. I received the card in 1998 and went outside the country in 2000(after 5 years) for 3 months. Can I apply for citizenship? The marriage ended after only 6 months will it stop me in getting the citizenship?

It would not stop you. However, the INS has a right to question your motives and be convinced that it was not a marriga eof convenience.
