Default Dual citizenship of India and USA

I am a green card hoder from USA for the last 34 yearsand am an Indian citizen. If I acquire USA citizenship now, will I be able to retain my Indian citizenship uner the 'dual citizen' law passed by India? or do I hve to follow any procedure to retain the Indian citizenship. Under USA law, on being USA citizen, one does not have to renounce the citizenshiop of their old country.

A dual citizen of India and USA will have to carry and show the passport of which of these two countries when travelling between these two countries?

I shall very much apprciate a reponse.

caution! us govt may not be able to protect u in india if u get in trouble and hold indian citizenship too since you need to follow indian rules as an indian citizen. otherwise, overseas citizenship is good for all practical purposes
