Default PIO or Overseas Indian Citizenship?

Hi all,

I am a GC holder, married to a US citizen for the last 5 years. I am eligible for US citizenship and have the following questions:

1. What is the real difference between a PIO, and an Overseas Indian Citizenship?

2. If I do get a PIO, or Overseas Indian citizenship, is there a way to regain full Indian citizenship if I renounce my US passport in the future?

Thanks,
Omi

There is no overseas citizenship yet. Just get PIO. http://www.immihelp.com/nri/pio.html That is what I am getting.

When they start overseas citizenship, you can get that by paying $25 if you already have PIO.

There is really no reason to get full Indian citizenship, unless you want to be political leader or want to vote etc.
