NVC Fee Bill - Alternate Payment Method for Affidavit of Support (AOS) Fee, Immigrant Visa (IV) Fee
If you are either unable to or uncomfortable making an online payment, you can pay by cashier's check or money order. Personal or attorney/firm checks are not accepted. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. bank.

When sending the payment to NVC, you must place the Fee Bill(s) along with a cashier's check or money order made payable to the Department of State. They must be sent in an envelope addressed to the NVC, as listed below.

The NVC Fee Bill shows the applicant's case number and has a bar code. If you have misplaced your fee bill, do not send a fee payment without the fee bill. Instead, please contact the National Visa Center.

Mailing Addresses
All of the mailing addresses are PO box addresses and there is no physical street address. Therefore, if you would like to send your payment via an overnight mail courier service, you can do that only with the U.S. Postal Service, such as Express Mail, as only USPS provides delivery service to the PO Boxes. You can not use the private courier such as FedEx or UPS.

Tips
  • You are recommended to send the payment and fee bill by certified mail with return receipt.

  • Send only the payment and fee bill, but no other documents, to the St. Louis, MO address.

  • Do not send any payments to the Portsmouth, NH address, as they will be returned to you.

  • Do not send any documents to the Portsmouth, NH address until they are specifically requested by NVC.

  • Make sure to write the applicant's case number in the memo section of the cashier's check or money order.

Payment Processing
After NVC cashes your cashier's check or money order, it will mail you further instructions for completing the next step in the immigrant visa process. As you are sending a cashier's check or money order, not your personal check, you will not be able to know exactly when it was cashed until your hear from NVC.

Do not take any action like sending any documents to NVC until asked to do so.
