We require additional information from you and are unable to issue your visa at this time. Further action in your case has been suspended under section 221(g) of the United States Immigration and Nationality act pending the receipt and review of the documents and information requested below.
  • Your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made. Your case status will be indicated next to your case number on the website: http://hyderabad.usconsulate.gov/221g.html. You may check your status after a week from the date of interview.

  • Your petition is not currently reflected in the PIMS database. Processing of your case will be suspended until we can verify your petition details.

  • Your blanket L-1 application is not clearly approvable under section 8 CFR 214.2 (1)(ii)(D) and INA 101(a)(15)(L).

  • Your application requires additional information as indicated below. Please be sure to submit all the documents listed from serial 1-5. You may submit the additional documents via drop box using VFS Services, the Consulate's authorized courier agent.

  • All applications require the following documents:
    1. Completed visa application form DS-156.

    2. Supplemental application form DS-157.

    3. For all student and exchange visitor applicants, application form DS-158.

    4. One visa photo for each person (including children) traveling. Photos must be less than six months old, 50mm x 50mm, front facing, with a white or off white background.

    5. The following additional documents, as requested:
      • Please obtain an observation/a new passport. Your current passport has:
        • Insufficient space in which to place a visa;
        • Is damaged;
        • Expires within the next six months;
        • Needs a name correction on the biographic page
      • Please present a fresh demand draft for Rs. _________. Drafts should be issued by a national or international bank, drawn in favor of the American Consulate General, payable at Hyderabad.
      • Please obtain a Police Clearance Certificate from the Regional Passport Office where you received your passport and the local police station that covers your residence.
      • Please obtain a police clearance from the country of _______________________.
      • Please submit your original passports (or clear copy containing all 36 pages)
      • Please provide proof of a USCIS-approved extension for your previous stay(s) in the US.
