Beyond time frames
Hey. Some of you guys know that my processing time is way beyond time frames.
I sent my documents on September,25th. Got an email and notice on October,1st last year. So it's been almost 9 months!!!
I submit an inquiry(I-485) last Friday on June,15th. And waiting for the answer now.
My husband and I didn't hire a lawyer, since we thought that there was no need for it:all the time on the US I was legal, we were dating for a year before the marriage, etc
Now, my husband is contacting a lawyer to get a free consultation on what is better for us to do. Hecontacted a congressman as well. Do you think it's a good idea to make congressman office to look at the case? He thinks that I should submit a form at the congressman office to make them look at the case..I think we should wait a week or so for my inquiry response..any advice on what we should do...

Thank you very much

Hi all ;
Married -December 19 2014
Priority Date March 31, 2015
Biometric Appointment, May 2, 2015
Interview date- July 6, 2015
Up until now im yet to receive my EAD CARD and AP ,My challenge is I don't have a lot of support document to take to the interview, we have some document that shows both name on it but for the most part lease, bills, bank account you need social security number which I don't have , call the immigration service and told them this and they said not to cancel the interview, my lawyer is saying that we should postponed and I'm not sure if that a great idea. How can immigration expect you to have these document when most everyone want your social security number. Can anybody give advice or if you went through this can you share some light?

Change of address while I-485 pending
Filed I-485 through marriage

Case Timeline:

March 15 - Filing I-130, I-485, I-765, I-130
March 24 - Received texts receipt notice
March 30 - Receipts notice in mail
March 26 - Bio-metrics notice
April 15 - Went for bio-metrics fingerprint
April 17 - Change of address filed with USCIS
April 22 - USCIS confirming change of address
June 3 - EAD/advance parole approval issued
June 10 - Received EAD combo card in mail

While my I-485 is pending, I moved from New York to Las Vegas to be with my husband. I'm wondering if anyone can provide some insights on the following:

When/Where will the 485 interview be issued? I noticed on April 22, when USCIS confirmed the change of address, the 485 status as "case is ready to be scheduled for an interview". Does it mean that my interview will be scheduled in Las Vegas? When will the 485 interview likely to be scheduled? Is it likely to be the end of July or the mid-August? I've heard change of address will result in a case transfer, which will cause a delay of 6-8 months. Is it true?

Thank you in advance.

Still waiting on green card
My husband and I got married on 7/31/14 and filed for AOS/EAD/AP on 8/18/14.

September 2014: notice got returned to USCIS due to non-delivery
10/27/14: I requested to receive a copy of the notice
End of October: Received a copy of the notice + new biometrics appointment
11/03/14: Biometrics appointment
11/14/14: EAD/AP combo card approved and received within 30 days of notice
12/11/14: Received notice of potential interview waiver case + delay in completing my case due to workload

End of April 2015: Moved to another State
05/03/15: Notified USCIS about address change
05/05/15: Confirmation from USCIS about address change successfully updated in their system
Entire month of May: Couldn't check my status online, due to defect in USCIS system. Called USCIS to check on status, but got told to wait until they fixed the defect in their system.
06/11/15: Finally, system is functioning again. MY STATUS: On 05/05 a notice got returned, due to non-delivery. I requested online for a copy of the notice.
06/12/15: Called USCIS to check on status and hopefully getting information about the content of the notice. Employee could not give me any info about the content, but also told me that I should have called earlier. Told him that their system was down for a whole month! Also, told him that I will be on vacation on the 07/01. He told me that it's better not to leave the country when having a pending case. Told him that I expected my green card months ago and that I filed for it almost a year ago! Besides, the previous employee I talked to (in May) told me that it was OK to go on vacation. Having a EAD/AP allows people to travel. If, I get invited for an interview I can always reschedule.

In conclusion, I have to wait again...

Anyone experiencing the same?

P.S. A lot of the employees just read from a cheat sheet. Non of them seem to be able to give a proper answer. Also, they don't give you time to explain your situation.

thinking when to file AOS
I've been married since February 2014 with my USC husband. We haven't file anything yet since we are having financial difficulties after we got married. As of now, we've been married for 1 year and 4 months. We were thinking if we hold up till our 2nd anniversary then apply for my AOS, am i eligible to get the permanent one instead of the 2 yr conditional status?

If anyone has an idea regarding this matter, your response is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

i-485 Interview
Hello all. I am the petitioner for my wife. We live in the Washington DC area. Below is our timeline.

Dec 12 - Married
Jan 15 - Mailed all documents
Feb 15 - Biometrics Appointment
Apr 16 - Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview
???

It's now June 9th and we have yet to have our interview appointment mailed to us. Is anyone else experiencing longer than usual wait times. Is anyone else going through the Washington DC/Fairfax USCIS office for their interview? Is this wait time unusual? Any feedback would be much appreciated. As you can imagine we are more than anxious to move onto the next step.

Also, we did not initially file for an EAD. If we were to file one now, would it be worth it? Would you expect we receive the greencard before the EAD would arrive?

Thanks in advance!
