Review: With my family, I fly Spicejet airlines from Pune to Chennai. Traveled in economy class and the fight was for about 2.5 hours duration, the money spent was approximately 4000 Indian rupees. The in-flight available onboard hot meals taste amazing. I appreciate the service provided since the flight got me full value for money. The entire experience was good, I wait for travel soon with Spicejet again.

Review: I could never imagine an airline ground staff to be so rude for a 2 year old kid. Me and my wife with our 2 year old son were travelling from Delhi to Bagdogra on Nov 4. We had an infant ticket purchased for the lil one. At the check in counter, the staff Kamini, asked me the age of the child. Then she asked for the child’s birth certificate which of course I had not carried. She then asked me that I need to purchase a ticket for the child as per Nov 4’s price which was Rs 13,500. I then spoke to her Supervisor Sneha, if I remember it right. I was on my return trip to Nepal via Bagdogra and of course did not have that much of cash with me. I asked her if I could pay at Bagdogra, she blatantly refused. I asked her what could I do, since I do not have that much of money with me. She was like "Sir, its up to you. We cannot let the child board the plane until you pay Rs 13,500 right now. You may leave the child at the airport or hand him over to someone, that is your problem, not ours. You may decide what you wanna do". I even asked them if they could compensate for the infant ticket which I had purchased. They were like, that is your problem - you need to collect the infant ticket money from the travel agent. The Assistant Manager on Duty was of course of no help to us since he had to save his staff I suppose. I am glad I had some relatives in Delhi, you brought me the money at the airport. How can an airline staff, in other words anyone, be so rude towards a kid. This was the first time we traveled Spice Jet, I am sure this is the last time and never ever again I am gonna fly or recommend this airlines to anyone.

Review: Dear SpiceJet, I had booked my flight tickets for Pune To Delhi dated 18 January 2014 via PNR No A6SB3G. I got an SMS today that my flight has been cancelled because of some silly reasons. I spoke to Spice Jet Customer care executive Mr. Tarun in which he strictly denied to offer any help. He also denied to speak to the manager of the firm stating that it is not possible. I simply want what sort of customer service are you guys providing. This is a pathetic response from your side in which your managers are afraid to talk to customers. How can you people just send one SMS and refrain from your duties. Tarun gave me the options to fly on 17 or 19 Jan 2014 or to fly from Mumbai. I sincerely ask entire Spice Jet team that Who are you people going to decide my itinerary. Let your customers decide the same. I have an urgent work in Pune on 17 Jan and then some important meeting on 18 Jan in Delhi. Hence I need to fly only on 18 Jan early morning. So , I totally deny the options provided by Tarun and request Spice Jet to arrange my flight tickets on 18 January 2013 only . You can provide me the flight tickets of Air India (AI- 852) or Jet Air ways (9W 366). I have to reach Delhi by 10 AM hence these two are the only options I believe. I have been a loyal customer of Spice Jet and a frequent flier of your flights. Kindly consider my tight schedule and arrange for tickets in the flight options I provided. Pls dont force me to approach media/ consumer forum in such petty cases and resolve the matter very amicably. I am awaiting a positive response from you guys. PS : Dont test the patience of your customers!! Details: Passenger : MANU SRIVASTAVA PNR : A6SB3G Date of Travel : 18 January 2014 Travel Details : Pune To New Delhi.

Review: When I approached Spice Jet check in counter when I was last visting India, they said they even though I have international connection and proof of international baggage allowance (3 bags of 23 Kgs each), they would not allow the same baggage anymore. Their policy has changed. I unsuccessfully argued with them that I had the proof of recorded phone conversation right here on my phone and proof in writing about the rule. However, they said their policy has just recently changed and showed me some print out. I argued that there were inconsistencies within their own departments and I should not have to pay extra. They said that I can complain to whoever I want but at this time, I will have to pay extra Rs. 200/Kg for luggage over regular allowance. They said domestic luggage is 20 KG. But if you have international connection, the allowance is still 20 KG. But from 21 to 32 KG, it would be flat Rs. 10,000 and then Rs. 200/KG. I paid Rs. 16,200 for extra baggage for one hour flight. The ticket cost itself is around 25% of that. That is pure robbery.

Review: After transferring from international airport to domestic airport, when I reached at the check in counter after mid night, bunch of staff people were just watching cricket match on their mobile phone and they refused to check my bags in. They asked me to come two hours before my flight departure time which was at 8.05 AM. They just asked me to away or sit anywhere. It was difficult to even go to the bathroom with so much luggage. On top of that, mosquitos biting me the entire night. When I stood in the line at around 6 AM, they asked me to come back again after 10 minutes as it was not yet two hours before departure time. I went to check in counter again at 8.15 AM and now they told me that as I have domestic ticket, I can carry only 20 KGs of luggage. I told them that before booking the ticket, I had already confirmed multiple times with the call center that as long as my domestic flight is within 24 hours of the international flight, I could carry the same luggage as the international allowance as long as show the proof of my international allowance. I even showed them the proof of email reply I received from Spice Jet where I specifically mentioned my international itinerary. After a lot of arguments back and forth, he reluctantly asked me to give him those papers, he made photo copy and allowed the luggage. When I was in the aircraft, they told me that I had not prepaid for the food. Therefore, I would have to pay Rs. 200 to purchase it. After I showed the proof of purchase and prepayment, they gave me some food to eat. Normally, you don't really need food for one hour flight, but I was hungry as I was sitting at the airport for the whole night where there was really nothing proper to eat. Overall, it was quite bad experience. My subsequent experience was OK and the next one was much worse. If there is any other choice, I would not fly this airline.

Review: Even though this particular experience was good, I would still not recommend them due to my previous negative experience with them and two subsequent negative experiences with them. My I went to check in at the gate, they asked me how many bags I had. I said 3. They asked me whether I had international connection and I said yes. She asked me to see my international itinerary and proof of my international baggage allowance. She allowed me that baggage allowance without any problem. Rest of the flight was noneventful. I was satisfied just with this particular flight experience, but was dissatisfied at all other times.
