The consular section is located on the eighth floor of Westgate Mall. However, visa applicants must first line up on FengXian Street, just behind Westgate mall, to have their appointment time verified.

The post office for passport collection after visa approval is the Julu Lu post office station. Phone number: +86-21-5403-6980.

When applying for the visa through the dropbox procedure, you can get fastest turnaround time if you use the CITIC Bank location at the corner of West Nanjing Road and Jiangning Road, across the street from the Consular Section’s office in Westgate Mall.

Cashier Hours

Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
On Wednesday afternoons, the cashier closes early at 2:00 PM.

American Citizen Visa Hour

If you are a U.S. citizen and have any questions regarding nonimmigrant visa inquiries or processes (of course for someone else), you can be present at the American Citizen Services of the U.S. Consulate’s consular section between 4.00 PM and 4.30 PM with your U.S. passport. You can meet with Nonimmigrant Visa Unit staff on the same day between 4.00 PM and 5.00 PM.

This facility is available only once a week on Tuesdays.
