No Biometrics appointment letter for EB-3 NSC ROW. Case date March 22nd 2017
My I-485 is received on March 22nd (I-140 was approved at that time) and until now I haven't received biometrics appointment letter. It is EB-3 NSC ROW. I called USCIS after 30 days passed. They opened a request, gave me some sort of reference number and asked me to wait 30 more days. Anyone in similar situation? Is it normal to wait so long for Biometrics? My address is in Los Angeles.
My I-140 with PD: 29th Nov 2016 still shows : Case Received but i came to know from my attorney that the approval notice came to them on April 14th. I do not know why the status is not in sync on USCIS website. My I-485 PD is 08-Dec-2016 and as per the timelines as of 28th Feb it says till Dec 21st, I am not sure when will this be approved. Anyone with similar timelines has any updates?
Need some advice from your personal experiences or observations
I filed both I-140 and I-485 concurrently at TSC on Dec 22, 2016. I-140 has not been approved yet although USCIS shows they are caught up with the Nov 1, 2016 application as of their latest update on April 18, 2017. On the other hand, they are caught up with Dec 21, 2016 I-485 application as of April 18, 2017, therefore, it seems my I-485 application should be in the row to process but my I-140 has not been approved yet.
Given the above situation, should I go ahead and file for I-140 premium or just hang in there and wait and see? Any advice would be highly appreciated.
I finally got my green card, thank God! Wish everyone the best. Here is my timeline:
EB3 ROW NSC
May 5th 2016: Filed i-140
Mid September 2016: Filed i-485
Oct-Nov 2016: Received EAD in mail
April 2017: i-140 approved
May 1st 2017: Status changed to "Card in production" and then to "Your case was approved"
May 3rd or 4th: Status changed to "Your card was shipped"
May 5th: Received card in mail
May 6th: Received notice in mail
Note that I initially filed with the wrong address (lawyer mistakenly added a 0 to avenue number). I had to file an address change online when I realized that a couple of weeks later when notice was mailed and returned to USCIS.
Also, I've contacted USCIC by phone once for my i-140 and they told me that layers/company should contact them not me.
My wife's I-485 was approved on 4/18 and received her greencard on 4/25 but my I-485 still "fingerprint fee was received".
Is this normal? My wife was the applicant and I filed as a dependent spouse. My lawyer said it's a normal operating procedure but most of the cases that I read in this forum I-485 for both applicant and their dependents were approved at the same time.
