TIMELINE FROM INTERVIEW TO OATH (NYC)
Hi there -

1) does anyone know what it means that my FO (26 Federal Plaza) needs to fill 200 spots in order to do an oath ceremony?

Background: I went to 26 Federal Plaza for an infopass to get a status update and an IO told me that since my interview was about a month ago it is still too soon for an oath to be scheduled because "they need 200 people" - I have no idea what that means and why it would be so hard to fill that many spots in a location like NY.

2) Also, the IO said my case was approved but that it was awaiting a signature from another group - what does that mean? It didn't sound like it was the usual IO supervisor review, as the person said the case was actually approved but needed "final verification" by another group who sign off on cases. The IO said they estimate it takes 30 days to finalize. I wonder if this has to do with a final background check or because of a name change?

I have not heard of any of these experiences from anyone on these boards but please let me know if you have heard of this?
