Notes:
Current status as of 08/23/2018 is case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Update 02/20/19 Card was picked up by USPS and will be delivered today. The whole process is long, however if you are diligent when submitting the paperwork your case will go smoothly and probably faster than the advertised processing times. Interview notes: the Officer was very courteous and thorough. We started the interview with a quick ID and fingerprint check. We had a previously approved I-130 so that made everything go even faster. The officer asked us basic questions like how and when we met, marriage date, location, who were the people present in our wedding pictures, my date of birth. We were both very relaxed, after all we had nothing to fear! The Officer asked more than once how we had met, my interpretation is that this is done to ensure the accuracy/truthfulness of the story. Take all your documents with you and you’ll be just fine.
