Indian Passport

Just wanted to share experience of Passport Renewal with New York consulate / CKGS center.
I opted for CKGS's Fedex shipping services and sent the current passport to CKGS New York. The passport was received by CKGS on 7-Jan-2019 and I received the new passport back on 16-Jan. Overall it took 8 business days / 10 calendar days. Pretty good turn-around time by CKGS and Indian Consulate in NY.

Below is the timeline, in case anyone is curious.

Jan 15, 2019 - Tuesday09:39 amPassport picked up by FedEx.

Your AWB Number is 7849777 YYYY X

To track the ‘Progress of Your Shipment’, log onto the site of FedEx and enter your AWB Number.
Jan 15, 2019 - Tuesday09:26 amPassport ‘Received’ at the CKGS application centre and is at the ‘Sorting Facility’ where it is being processed for delivery.
