Passport renewal at Washington DC
My wife & I applied for Passport renewal at CKGS, DC personally. During submission we were told due to system upgrade currently the renewal takes longer, 5 weeks in place of 3 weeks.
The status at CKGS site shows pending at Embassy for decision making. It has been more than 5 weeks already. We have tickets to India on April 5th. Does anyone know how to expedite it?

Feb 18, 2019 - Application is 'In Transit' to the Embassy.
Feb 18, 2019 - Application is ‘Under Process’ at CKGS.
Feb 15, 2019 - Application Verification is ‘Complete’. Processing of your application will continue.
