Hi Ruchi,

In same situation. My 60 days of unemployed period are getting over on 9th May as EAD has not been received. If OPT decision is pending, for long can one be in US legally?

Regards,

Hi Ruchi,
I’m in the same situation. I submitted my documents on the 5th of March. On 17th of June. I received a letter from USCIS asked me to send this documents:
1- a statement from the designated school official (DSO) and the registrar attesting to your physical presence in the classroom.
2- a full description of your course.
3- copies of your course syllabi.
4- proof of tuition payment.
5- a copy of most recent transcript.
I submitted this documents on 28th of Jun and I’m waiting until see the USCIS final decision.

Hi,
Did you get a response from USCIS yet? How long does it take to get your EAD after submitting a response to the rfe?

HI Ruchi,

I received my notice of receipt on March 11. My application is still pending. According to my DSO, you can remain in the country until USCIS has reached a decision about your case.
Super frustrating to wait with no other communication from USCIS. :/
