Here is how my B2 visa interview went.
Need your reviews on how can I work to improve my chances on approval in the future. And after how long shall I apply next. I have my uncle's 50th bday next year and wish to travel along with my family for the celebrations there. All my family members have a valid B2.
VO: Good morning. How are you doing today?
Me: Good Morning. I'm doing great, how are you?
VO: I am doing great too (Smiling)
VO: (takes my passport) Why do you want to travel to the USA?
Me: For tourism and sightseeing.
VO: How many days do you wish to travel for?
Me: 20 days.
VO: Whom will you be visiting and staying in the USA with?
Me: I have my maternal and paternal uncle there in San Diego and SF, so with them.
VO: how long do you plan to travel to each place.
Me: San Diego for 12 days and then LA and SF for 4 days each with my uncle.
VO: What do your uncles do there?
Me: My paternal uncle is working as a senior group director at XX and maternal unce is a CPO in XX
VO: I see you are also working as a software engineer here.
Me: Yes, I am
VO: what do your parents do here in India?
Me: Mom is a single parent, works at a School as a XX. Dad passed away XX years back
VO: (looks at my empty passport for few seconds going through pages).
VO: (types something for 30-40 seconds) I am really sorry currently, but as per your circumstances/condition I am really not able to issue you a visa right now. You may surely try again after some time. Take care.
I am willing to travel to Australia/Singapore end of the year to improve my travel history. Will that help?
