Hi, guys!
Since we don’t have a lot of Miami experiences here I promised to keep you posted about my updates.
PD Aug 2017
Interview Nov 2018
Nothing since then.
We sent !6! SR inquires, we called 10 times, we tried to make an infopass appointment, nothing happened.
Yesterday I called again. I was told that my case is NOT out of the processing time because in Miami it takes 22-33.5 months since the PD to get an answer. I said that these time frames are changing all the time! When we applied it was 8-10 months!
A representative told me I should wait AT LEAST another 8 months and only after that I can call again or send SR. REALLY?! ARE THEY SERIOUS?! it’s been over 25 months!!!
I’m down and desperate. I can’t get a nice job, I can’t travel freely.. which is a huge part of my job! Still waiting for my renewed work authorization to be approved.. (since Feb 2019).
Guys, any advice? I want to try to ask a congressman for help, but I have no idea how. Do you have such an experience/tips? What’s the best way to contact him/her? Is it worth it?
I wish everyone a huge luck!
Let’s hope for the best!

Miami1111 , I a m sure you have heard it before but I really do feel your pain and frustration , and most importantly I am in similar shoes ( I think you and I have responded to one another before on these forums) our submittal date is November 2016 !!! so I know about the frustration with the Miami office . By the way , may I ask what country are you from originally ? Our interview was Nov 2018 , Dec2018 we got the approval for the I130 , but they sent us an RFE regarding the 485 , we responded in May 2019 , and we re still waiting to hear back . My attorney says they re back logged and he has never seen such delays ever but nonetheless here we are . As to contacting the senators office , some people have had great luck with that , last time I did all I got was a response saying that it is within the time frame ! but like I said others have had better luck asking their state senator for help , most likely I will try to do that myself soon . Out state Senator has an office in Doral to my knowledge where our lawyer sends correspondence , let me know if you need some help or guidance with that . You would have to sign a release to the senators office to access your case , and from what I remember there is form where you would have to fill describing your case , time frame and so on , and submit it with the release form to the senators office , they were very good responding with an acknowledgement that they received your material , and were fairly reasonable getting back with an answer BUT like I said it , at least last time I did all I got was that " it was within the time frame " talk about moving the goal posts ! Keep up the faith and stay strong

maxieswfl, yeah, buddy, I remember your case. I would say you have the worst time frames I’ve ever heard about! Thank you so much for all the details! I really appreciate it! I’m from Russia. And you? The Congressman of my area is a woman. I’m gonna contact her office first thing in the morning. We should try everything!
The last time I called USCIS (2 days ago) they told me they were processing Dec 2016 cases. So I was surprised they missed your case.
Seriously, I’m loosing any hope. That’s not fair! Why people who have bona fide marriages, who pay taxes, who are not criminals should suffer like that and be limited?!
Please, keep in touch and I hope to hear great news from you!

Miami1111 , do not loose hope , as bad as time frames are for you and myself , there are still worse scenarios ...lets keep the hope .. it is quite disheartening to even try to comprehend how can the Miami office be that backlogged !! Still , I believe as long as the application is based on a bonafide basis , then perseverance and patience is paramount . I am not sure who your congresswoman is, however I did hear that the Senator's office is very receptive to being helpful , as I mentioned The Florida Senator's office in Miami is in Doral , if you have an attorney on your case you might want to check with him/her first as they usually have the forms you have to fill to submit the request to the senator's office , if not I am sure you the senator's office can guide as to where to get them . Keep me posted and I will do the same . Best of luck
