Replace & Remove Condition
Just FYI, in Seattle replacing your green card takes around 11 months on average. We are also worried about rampant mail fraud in our area because we requested our green card three times (roughly 2 1/2 years of waiting) and each time it was never delivered to our locked mailbox, even though the USPS claimed it was.

As far as the removal of condition process, we started that more than 9 months ago in January 2019, and still have not received an appointment for bio-metrics. A total of 3 years after originally applying, we still have not received one green card in the mail, and every time we left the country, my wife was interrogated like a criminal for more than 3 hours with our children hungry and screaming the entire time. NOT a fun experience. At this point while we wait for the removal of condition, she is allowed to stay in the country, but cannot leave due to no ACTIVE green card because the original condition was 2 years. So yes, if you apply for your removal of condition, you will have to wait past the expiration date of your original green card and you won't be allowed to leave the country. My advice is that if you are going to apply for a marriage green card, do it in an area other than Seattle.
