Seems like they really want a copy of apostilled birth certificate, I was able to send them again.

I hope they make changes to the OCI form at CKGS or atleast make the letters RED in color to highlight the word "Apostilled", in CKGS form.

It is literally mentioned once in small black and white letter.

They made it a mandatory requirement for atleast US Born individuals at SFO

I got it from SFO without it. Maybe check with consulate or ckgs.

Yea i called CKGS and they put it application on hold. After i sent them the apostilled certificate, the process was resumed.

Birth Certificate (if born outside India)

The copy of the Birth Certificate provided is not accepted. Birth Certificate should be apostilled.

Indeed it was a shocker for me since i applied 3 OCI's before and never had a problem but the latest development was new to me, and caught me by surprise.

When You Applied for ?, Before 2017 it's not required
