Dec 17, 2019: Qualified for visa interview waiver and dropped off passport.
Dec 20: 221g case created.
Dec 28: Received passport with blue slip asking to attend interview. This was after a 2 day delay by Blue Dart. Had to pick it up from their office, the day before they were returning it to the embassy (phew!).
Dec 30: Attended interview in Chennai. Got issued a pink slip. Consular officer held on to the passport. Questions asked :
- What is your current annual salary?
- What is the name of your company?
- What company is xxxxx (referred to my company's previous name under which it continues to operate legally)?
- What is the nature of company's products and their applications?
- Specifically do you work on CFD? (my field is aerospace)
Jan 01, 2020: Submitted documents: Resume, research, publications, job descriptions for all roles , travel history for past 10 years
Feb 13: CAEC status tracker shows this day as "case last updated date." No change in status.
Feb 18: Issued. 49 days.
