Hello, I am in the following situation and seeking suggestions and help.

I am working on an H1B work visa and my wife is on H4 dependent visa.

My daughter is a US citizen and has an OCI card. We travelled to India as well on the OCI card previously.

In Jan 2019, we renewed her US passport as she completed 5 years. Until recently, I had no idea that we need to get the OCI card as well renewed when a US passport is renewed for a minor.

We have a travel plan coming up in Sep 2019, and looking at the wait times, I don't think I can get the OCI card renewed before we travel

--

We recently had a baby boy in July 2019, and we are about to receive his US passport. Again, based on the wait times and our travel plans in Sep 2019, I am afraid I would not get his OCI card done before we travel.

--

I was thinking of two options
1. Get e-visa for both my daughter and my son and travel to India, and have the e-visa converted and renewed into OCI for my son and daughter respectively in India.
2. Fly to the assigned OCI office in US and get the OCIs issued both kids.

My questions -
1. Can e-visa be granted for a child who already has an OCI card and renewed US passport? If yes, I would save effort to submit and time in flying to the OCI office to submit in person.
2. Where in India can we get this conversion done? what is the application process?
3. If so, are there any repercussions in the future for my daughter who already has an OCI card?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi- I have to apply for a multiple entry visa to India, Does anyone know- If I have the canceled due to acquiring a foreign nationality stamp on my old Indian passport(canceled before 2010) ..that will work as the proof of Indian Origin and Renunciation. Do they need a copy of Naturalization also for the Multiple Entry 5/10 Indian Tourist visa?

Thanks

My process from submission to shipping was less than 3 days. Total time spent in the embassy was only about 5 hours before they approved. I did use a visa agent who doubled checked all my documents and hand delivered them to CKGS for processing. I would recommend that for anyone doing this.

Hi Guys,
I am planning to go to India with my kid. My kid has/had PIO, which we used before to travel to India. Now, I am applying for Tourist visa.
In the application, in "Previous Visa/Currently valid Visa Details" section, there is questions such as did u visit India, the places visited & such. It also asks for the
Last Indian Visa No/Currently valid Indian Visa No& Type of Visa.
I am stuck there.
When I say Yes for visited India, all below questions have to be answered, but no option to say my kid has PIO. what do I do? has anyone faced same situation.
Do I say Yes for visited India & instead of visa no say PIO & select tourist visa from drop down OR do I say no for visited India but then no further questions are asked. Since saying No would be wrong, what do I do?

Hi Folks,

I am planning to visit India this October. H1B and H4 visa stamping expired on Dec 31st, 2016. We have I-797 extension till Dec31st 2019. My wife has H4EAD and is working as a FTE for a call center.

When we visit India, we will be going for our visa interview again as we do not fall into the dropbox category.
1. How is the experience at HYDERABAD consulate for H4EAD spouse?
2. With the current immigration scenario, would there by any problems for my wife if she tells the VO that she is working on H4EAD?
3. What kind of questions can she expect?
4. Is there anyone else in the same bucket or did go through a H4EAD visa interview?

Please help!

Thanks!

Dear friends
I have a question that nobody I talked to is able to clearly explain to me. I'll appreciate if anybody has knowledge about my issue. my details:
> Filed EB1A based I485 in Dec 2018. Waiting for interview (they have interviews now for EB1A)
> Plan to marry an Indian citizen (who is still in India) in October this year.
> I want to apply for her green card before my case is adjusted and then having to file for her as family (which will delay her case for years)

My questions are:
> Is it OK to apply for her after my interview (which is not scheduled yet)
> Can I also file for her from India?

I would appreciate any other helpful suggestion that can make me get her here faster and get her green card also soon.
You guys are wonderful. May God bless you
