Applied October 12
Hi you guys! I love that everyone is posting their stories. I have the worst anxiety and seeing your stories makes it less scary. I dont feel alone. They received my letter for advanced parole on October 12 and im still waiting my case is in Nebraska. I called and while the guy was very nice he wasn't much help. I didn't put a date my lawyer just put as fast as possible. Now im nervous that they will make me less priority. Has anyone from October been accepted? It seems like they are lagging it. Im going to meet my grandma for the first time and i hope that I have the opportunity to do that before any changes happen.

Traveling by Air
Hi everyone, I need some guidance I will be flying to Mexico from LAX Airport so question is What was the process on buying the Airplane ticket ? What airline did you guys use? I've search ALOT and I am overwhelmed already. Should I just buy them at the Airport? How will they let me board it when I come back from Mexico? Do I show them the AP here or in Mexico when it's time??? Ugh I am so confused. Thank you

AP question
Guys, I have my AP but I'm very nervous about using it. My lawyer says he is only concerned that with all the executive orders he does not have much information as to how border agents are interpreting. I have until 03/20 and by this month Trump will announce a Daca policy. What could happen to us that have the AP and if it gets terminated? Because on the permit it states that if AP is terminated while I am in the U.S I will go back to the status of a non-parolee and may be subject to removal proceedings under INA Section 212? So my understanding is that we need to make the departure? Has anyone else questioned about this? I have a clean record, but I'm afraid not being allowed to return. And I've want to wait and see what he has to say about the future of DACA. I have faith that they will give the dreamers legal residency but with some restrictions, like not allowing us to sponsor chain migration.

New Member, Case Status
Hello everyone!

I want to thank all of you guys for sharing your experiences with applying for the AP, it really helps me a lot to read your stories when I get anxious and impatient during my wait.

My case was received on the 12th of December 2016, and I filed the I-485, I-765, I-130 and I-131. The USCIS website only shows a change for the AoS application, that the fee for my fingerprints were received. Shouldn't that change also be updated for the other cases, or is this normal?

The Missouri Service Center (or NBC) is processing my case. Anyone else have experience with their wait time?

Anyways, I'm just really anxious about getting my AP and going back to Trinidad during this wait, because I cannot work legally here and doing nothing is pretty awful.

AP traveling
hello again.

ok so I have a dilemma right now. my AP is till in processing. I went for an infopass Wednesday and the guy gave me very useful information. I wanted to just go ahead and get the emergency AP because I rather see my 94year old great grandmother Alive than wait to apply for Emergency AP when she passes. I was unable to do it that day because of birth certificates nit translated but its ok, I was planning to go back Monday with out an appointment to file the Emergency AP instead of the humanitarian reasons expedite that's already in process since January 11th. well that was my plan and the officer who helped me said that It will most likely be approved for the emergency AP went I go back Monday. but when I told my lawyer how it went she told me that she advices me not to travel until we know what will happen with trumps decision about. I was willing to take the risk regardless because my FAITH IS BIGGER THAN MY FEAR! but with her telling me that im a little discouraged. if I go will go for 2 weeks no less to make the money spent for tickets worth it! I will be traveling with my 2 kids both US citizens 7y and 1y old. what do you guys recommend go do the emergency AP and travel 2 weeks or wait for the regular Expedite which should be approved soon and go after we know what will happen with DACA and AP? also it will be kind of hard to get time off work because a lot of people are off that month in march.

A/P & traveling with kids
Hello Everyone,

Just to start off I want to say that reading your stories has made me feel less nervous. I was approved for Advanced Parole Yesterday From February 1st to March 30th to go see my sick grandmother in Mexico City & I AM SCARED!!!!!!! I would (if I decided to travel) want to take my oldest son with me (he's 10 Us Citizen) but again I AM SCARED!!!! Has anyone taken their kids?? When I applied for A/P I wrote them a letter stating that I would like my kids to meet my 90 year old Grandmother and since I've been approved I am assuming it's ok. I've read about the risks involved with traveling and I would hate for my son to have to experience any but than again reading all your stories gives me hope. Thank you

My Status So Far!
Hi everyone!

I have been following everyone's stories from quite some time now! So, its nice that I am finally posting my own.

I applied for advanced parole on Dec 5, 2016
I expedited my case January 19, 2017 b/c my grandma is sick and she's been getting worse. My grandpa died on leap year last year when I was in the process of starting my advanced parole but I just didn't go thru with it because I was upset so here I am now kind of scared/annoyed at Trump.

My expedite request got denied because of evidence that it was a true emergent emergency on January 27, 2017.

But, I also did submit a spousal petition on January 25, 2017 and I just got a receipt notice.

Here's to good luck to all of us! Keep our fingers crossed
