H1B, H4 Visa

Hi, Asking help for someone. Unusual situation. H1B and H4 filled DS 160 together submitted and got appointment confirmation. Some minor errors were corrected with a fresh new DS-160. Application date remains same. The issue here is H1b updated new DS-160 for both himself and his H4 spouse. For H4 it doesn’t get updated automatically you have to call VFS give them the H4’s new DS-160 application ID and they update it from their side. Less than one week to travel H1B is not giving H4 her application ID to harras. All emails of application and DS-160 are in H1B’s email. The ‘forgot application ID’ is removed on DS-160. What is the best way to find h4’s application ID. Please help!

In the DS 160 form, I selected Hyderabad as the visa application center. According to my travel schedule, I took an appointment in New Delhi instead. Would it be a problem? I have appointment at September 4th and 5th at New Delhi. Please suggest me is there any problem?

I have attended H1 visa stamping on 27th Aug 2019.
i am working in American company as full time.

Visa officer asked below questions.

Question: What is your company you are working.
Answer: I answered. She impressed with that company

Question: What is your job title?
Answer: Answered accordingly.

Question: What are your job duties?
Answer: Answered accordingly.

Question: Is it your first h1b?
Answer: Answered accordingly.

Visa officer said , your visa approved.

I have initiated the amendment due to client change for my fresh H1B visa before stamping and it got rejected.

Now i scheduled the stamping on September 1st week.Currently i don't have old client letter.

Did anyone faced the similar issue? What kind of questions we can expect from VO?

Attended interview on 27th Aug - Mumbai Consulate. Prior to visiting the counter, the officer who checks biometrics asked me if I had a photo in hand. i said no. And i was queued for photo in the booth next. Photo taken - proceeded to counter queue.

Normal questions from the Visa officer.

Petitioner name?
Which location are you going?
Work history?
Education history?
Role Title?
Role Description?

Answered all the above. Visa officer said Visa is approved.

Checked on 28th AM on CEAC - AP - last updated date 27th
Checked on 29th AM on CEAC - AP - last updated date 28th

on 30th today - received a courier with passport and 221g slip with the last box checked in to submit a new photo. Any one had similar experience ? I am planning to submit to the nearest VAC with a newly taken photo. Can anyone share some thoughts on timelines or their experiences similar to this.

Hi everyone..My H1B visa application was in administrative processing since May 5th. Fortunately my visa is approved last week. I was not working for the last 4 months as my client don't agree working out of Country but they are holding my contract. I am traveling back to US on Sep 2nd. My question is that if the officer at the port of entry asks me why there is four months delay, can I say about my admin processing? Or if I say that will it cause any trouble? What would be the best way to answer that question. Appreciate your help!

Attended H1b interview for the first time, interview ended up in 3-4mins. Had been to interview with H4( dependents)

Vo: good morning
Me: good morning

Vo: can you show me your passports
Me:handed

Vo:which company your working for?
Vo:told her xxxx

Vo:what is your salary?
Me: Xxxx

Vo: can you give me your I-797
Me: gave her

Vo: can you give me your client letter?
Me: as per company policy my client doesn't provide client letter, I have SOW can I give.

Vo issued 221g blue slip and told to submit end client through mail and once it is cleared you will receive mail for submitting passport later you can send it and handed back our passports.

Didn't ask single question for dependents

Can anyone tell how long this process would take? And my client doesn't provide any letter so can I send account manager letter instead of client letter?? What are the chances of approval?? Can anyone faced similar situation, would like to connect with you please

We had our interview on aug 5th. Was handed a pink slip requesting additional documentation. I believe reason for concern was research and publications in nanotechnology and nanoscale heat transfer. Send the documents (including publications, conference notes, letter from employer) by aug 9. No updates on the website since aug 5. Do they update when documents are received? Status shows Administrative processing. Has anyone with pink slip, interviewed during this time frame received any updates? We have 3 children(US citizens ), who are currently missing school as we wait for our passports.

I attended H1B visa interview at Chennai consulate, vo asked all basic questions

Questions about employer
Questions about client
Salary,
Place etc

He asked client letter and returned to me and after some time he again asked Client letter and wrote case number on it and kept with him. Retuned passport back with blue slip with that case number to track.

He did not ask my I-797.

I believe as he took my client letter, they probably going to do client verification.

Any one in same situation and any idea how long will it take for them to verify..

ANY ONE IN SAME SITUATION ??

Aug 27 - VFS biometrics
Aug 29 - morning 7 30 slot in chennai

Very straight forward questions
My petitioner name
My salary
My highest level of education
Where is my company
Show me my paystub and w2
How long I am with my company

He handed me the know your rights pamphlet and told me my Visa is approved.

Good thing is none of the documents were verified. He just wanted to know if I carry the documents he is asking.

Just additional tip

Auto walas outside the consulate will know your happiness when you come out of consulate and demand for dollars not rupees. So be prepared to handle them. They talk to u nicely and then try to make money from you.

I gave 15$ because I am bad in handling people like that.
