Completed Adjustment of Status Process
Hello All,

First, thank you to everyone that has contributed to this forum in one way or the other. You are very much appreciated.Consequently, I was also compelled to make my own contribution in order to give hope to anyone everyone out there dealing with similar issues. Stay hopeful and try to exercise patient (I know it's very hard but that's all you've got).

Please see below info of very interesting and yet complicated case below;
2010 -- Initially, filed under parent(Dad) as beneficiary but Dad application got denied(witnessed my parent begging & crying for approval). It was quite sickening.

Shortly after -- filed I-130/485 as spouse of US citizen but cancelled application midway after relationship got extremely problematic. (So I avoided denial & removal proceedings).

Then finally -- re-filed I-130/485 as spouse of US citizen (2nd marriage to the love of my life and got approval. (10 yrs)

I am providing only narrative of second case to keep it short (My story is too too long as you can imagine. Its almost absurd & unreal)

PD -- early 2016

Got EAD -- late 2016 due to RFE which delayed process. But provided every single piece of documents and more.

Scheduled for Interview early 2017 (1 yr after PD)
-- Interview started bad simply bc officer said we responded call/announcement on second attempt but that wasn't true. Anyways, we provided well curated folders of evidences (The usuals) and well loaded photo albums. (She already had about 70% of evidence on hand)
--However, officer seemed very disinterested and annoyed, wouldn't even shake hands at the end of the interview. Asked question about if I completed school, how me met and Pay stubs. etc But on the bright side, stated that since we've been married for over 2 yrs it would be a 10yrs GC if approved. (I didn't have pay stubs and college diploma doc at the interview but I decided to send it in after interview).

Moving on, didn't get any notice till after summer for RFE(updated medical & some court disposition (traffic issues/arrest)). So, I submitted the requested docs as soon as possible and then continued the wait. However, I-130 was approved around that period. (Case felt great and promising at the point).

Finally around end of 2017, I received the holy grail mail which included 10yr GC & approval papers. (Best feeling ever after several trials as you can imagine)

All in All, keep praying, stay optimistic, and believe that anything is possible. Please reach out to me if you have any specific questions. I had to keep my timeline and story as detailed and succinct as possible. But boy, the process was extremely stressful especially after 2 previously cases but I stayed optimistic and utilized our beloved forum for addition guidance and most needed mental support.

I would recommend submitting some evidence files (pictures and any form of evidences) upon initial filing package before interview. I believe it facilitates your application. Also, prepare well for the interview (Dress well, semi-formal and try to stay as calm as possible).

I hope I have been able to reassure you and provided some tips. Happy Holidays everyone, I wish you all the best.

I-485 based in empoyment
As far as I can see, the approval of I-485 based in a marriage is quicker than based in employment, right?

I submit all the papers in August 17, I took the bio metrics in October (I had to re schedule my first appointment due to Hurricane Irma), we received on Nov 29 the approval letter of I-765 and it says that the EAD was emailed on Dec 1 (but we haven't received the card yet) and the I-485 says "Fingerprint fee was received..."

My case is in Texas Service center and I've asked why the processing time is still stucked in March 17 and my lawyer says that its not accurate and its only for reference...

Is there any case under 1 year?
