INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE of LA FIELD OFFICE
Guys i have not been interviewed. I am pasting information from other websites to help people prepare for interview -

DOCUMENTS AND POSSIBLE INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:
"I have complied a list for my own purpose from multiple threads. This should cover most of questions but feel free to scan through other threads.

As usual started with Oath, Photos, finger printing followed by attorney waiver signature.
IO asked the DL, Passport and original interview letter.
Officer verified my legal name, DOB, current address, phone number?
Officer collected the Employement verification letter and paystubs.
since mine approved I140, verified Is pertioner same for I485.
Are you or your spouse are relatives to the owner of the company?
Verified the visa status/transfers like H1 to L1 etc..
I94 travel history and last entry to US.
Verified about passport/visa lost anytime? Has anyone travelled with you passport/visa etc?
What company do I work for? What does my company do?
How long have I worked for my company?
What is my role in the company?
Officer writing down all these details in the application
How many marriages you had? I said only one.
What are the first names of parents and spouse
Asked all Y/N questions from the i485 application
Finally She verified and confirm that my I485J and Medicals are fine.
Marriage Proofs -- Lease, Tax Returns jointly, Car insurance, 401K etc.

For EB1 C
1.what was my role on L1B and specialty
2.what was the name over seas branch of my office
3. When did I join the overseas company branch and for how long did I work there
4. When did I come on L1A
5. How many people I am managing now and how on L1A
6. tell me about your job, what is the best part of your job,
7. Some questions from the medical exam. My TB skin test was "undetermined", so I explained that I did chest xray and it came back negative
8. Later she asked about my previous entry dates/visa categories in the US. I had taken all my I797’s (from 2003) with me. Then she asked us yes/no questions (based on I485

INTERVIEW START

Los Angeles interview: It was a friendly interview, the officer asked me to confirm Name, DOB, Address, Job duties, Yes/No questions. Also he asked for the EVL, new medical examination, pay stubs, birth and marriage certificate and copy of my degree. I didn't carry a copy of my degree, but he said that was okay because it was included with my I140 application. After that the officer asked my wife the when/how and where about our relationship, also asked proof of our relationship like photos and joint documents.
forms). She told me that they will review the case and mail me the decision, if they need further information, they will mail me that too. :)

H1B Extension After 6 years
Hi all,

i think i am in a tough spot. I would like some insights here.
I know you can request for a 1year extension of the H1B once you have filed the Labor Cerifitcation.
But i would like to know, what is meant by filing the Labor Certification.
The first step to PERM is the prevailing wage, next step interviewing other candidates and then file for PERM. Can you request for extension on the first step i.e. once you've filed for prevailing wage? or is the labor cerification filing considered the last step?
I am asking because it seems it takes at least 1year to to go though step 1 and 2 before the filing
Do you know if prevailing and interview can be conducted at the same time?

Will appreciate any insights here

Back and forth between NBC and local office
My 485 status (EB1C) changed to "Transferred and a new office has jurisdiction" 10 days back and then after a few days it said - "Transferred to local office". Then again, within 2 days of that, the status again changed to "Transferred to another office and a new office has jurisdiction". So it looks like it went to NBC from Texas SC and then to local office and again within 2 days went back to NBC. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

EAD/AP - when is it received in Eb1C concurrent ?
Hi,
I am seeing lot of differences in the process followed and so its confusing.

But as a general norm, can someone suggest when is EAD/AP received in Eb1C concurrent filing ?

Is it after Biometrics or after I140 approved ??

Sorry if I am sounding naive.. appreciate some replies..

Regards..

Stuck jan/feb filers
Lets be positive for a magic text in this week,
hopefully we get some news soon,
cannot be only crying as its not in our hand,
more I see the approval for the cases applied way after us, more I get upset on them
but that's enough , lets put a positive energy behind it and all hope to get some words from them very soon,
cheers

Interview experience from Trakit.com - Docs checked

Guys, I had my interview yesterday .

Interview was pretty straight forward, they called me about 20 minutes before scheduled time, then IO escorted to the office.

Verified Driver License.
Asked to take the oath.
Asked for Original certificates (Marriage & Birth)
Asked for last entry and status.
Asked about my duties at work.
Verified demographics information and current address.
Asked for EVL.
Asked yes/no questions from 485 form.

After that IO informed that a final review must be done and will contact if they need any additional info. If not will hear about the decision in a couple of weeks.

IO asked if I have any questions and I said no.

My status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced" a couple of hours after the interview.
