Remit 2 India is a BAD service to transfer funds to India. I used them recently to send money to Mumbai. It has been over 2 weeks and the money has not reached my relatives.

I have spent so much time contacting their office in US and India but their service is not good. They keep making promises but the transfer just has not taken place.

I would not recommend using Remit2India to any one. They are bad.

Money2India - do they really care?
Money2India draft service is really really bad. They claim that the receiver will have the draft in 1 to 3 business days. Even after 5 days, DD hasn't reached them. Status page will not show any info on the airway bill number. Their customer service - forget it! It is customer non-service. Simply useless and waste of time. They have no more info than what I can see myself in the website! I am now just praying God so that the DD will reach quickly!

I will never use their DD service again...On the other hand, their transfer to an ICICI bank account service is good. They give good exchange rates.

ICICI money2india worst service
ICICI money2india is worst service ever seen. Customer care is poor. Every time I call they keep me on hold for 30 mins. Even after I get the confirmation email for money sent to the bank account the amount is still not credited to the indian bank account. I have been sending emails to [email protected] no response at all.

I advive others not to use ICICI any more rather to choose a different reliable way to send. I am in search for sending the money to india. Can any one please let me know which is the best way to send money?

Thank you,
Vijeeth

Pathetic Custimer Service From CITIBANK
Citibank Rep " I am in the Citi to Piss you Off "

The Customer Service for Citibank in Bangalore is the worst ever I have experienced.Everyday they call up and inform about new free services ( never mentions the hidden costs ) and say that they would send a service person and have my signature to upgrade the services for free. But that never happens. They call up customers and pisses them off. That's the kind of service currently that Citibank is running in Bangalore. Not to mention their E-mail support. That is like being in Hell and having Acid Bath.

ICICI's M2I service sucks. I have horrible experience with them. There customer service is very poor. You would be lucky to get to the customer service, if ever you reach them, their systems are down. If you write an email to them, they won't care to reply. So all those guys considering money transfer through M2I, better go for some alternative rather than wasting your time with them.

Samachar.com is very good
From my experience, i can say the best way to send money to India is via samachar.com's money transfer service. Customer service is great and my parents got a demand draft within a week. They deposited in in their bank and got the money hasslefree. It jas low fee and is very easy.

Remit2India - Worthless Service
Remit2India - Never work with them.

Remit2India people are very unproffesional.

They promised me a if I use a special code the Transaction fee will be waived. That code they only gave and it is valid for 2 days. I used the code that day itself and made a remittence. But the charged the transaction fee. I asked them and they said you send us an email. I sent an email and also spoke to then 4 or 5 times. They talk unprofessional and they talk like we are fool and they try to cheat. Almost 4 weeks gone i sent a mail, nothing happened not even reply.
Also, they promised me a certain rate of exchange. And at the time they delivered the cash(the Dollar rate had appreciated), they converted and sent less amount of Rupees to my father.

Try avoiding them. They are just cheaters

ICICI Money to India
For my experience, ICICI gives the best rate. But their customer service is very poor, may be not less poor than other's experience. If you call once they will bounce with questions, do you have account with us etc. and etc.

By mistake if you write wrong account number, man you are done. You have entered dead man's zone. You can try for 3 months and you will have your money.
