Hi, I gave my biometrics on April 17th and haven't got any response since then. I gave the biometrics at my local ASC in California. Online I can see that the date of biometrics enrollment is specified as April 17th and there is a biometrics number as well.

When I contacted them via the IRCC Web form, I got a response saying "We verified the information on file and can confirm that your biometric data were not received by the responsible office yet.

If you would like to send them to us again, we invite you to:

Fill out the IRCC Web form and include your documents. It will be our pleasure to forward them to the office processing your file, or
Send them by mail to the responsible office."

Can anyone help me understand this message? I did not receive any documents after doing my biometrics. Are we supposed to get something? I don't understand what document I need to mail to the responsible office. And although the online application says biometrics enrollment done on April 17th, I dont know why the responsible office did not receive the biometrics. Has anyone experienced the same or has any inputs?

21 Mar: Applied online for Canada TRV
25 Mar: Bio metrics done and reflected online
10 Apr : Visa refused stating purpose of visit & insufficient information of immigration status

I drafted a new cover letter with detailed explanation and reasons for previous refusals. Scanned all semester fee paid, fall semester enrolled classes schedule and fee paid, take enrollment letter from school and applied again

19 Apr : Applied again for visa and pay online visa fee. No need to pay for biometric fee. Its good for 10 years
22 Apr: I forget to submit enrollment letter from university. submitted it by web form
23 Apr: online shows application updated
06 May: Got Passport request letter for all family
07 May: Submitted passports and fee in person at Los Angeles VFS and they give me tracking numbers
08 May: got email that passport under process at embassy

The main thing is your documentation and cover letter. Be truthful to visa officer always.

I finally got my passport back today with the Tourist visa on it.
The folks on this forum helped me a lot - thank you everyone!
Also here are some takeaways that may help others:

Takeaways:
1. You may be able to get your biometrics done earlier than your appointment date with the ASC. I went a few days earlier to see if they could accomodate me and they surely did. The genetlemen at the ASC told me that since it was a fairly lightly loaded day he can accomodate me.
2. The money order needs to be made to TT Services and not to VFS. The CVAC site mentions both on seperate pages!
3. The CVAC status reporting is messed up. The initial status it seems is always "document is missing". My package arrived there at noon on 30th April. It wasn't added to the system unitl 9:41 am the following morning. Then for the whole one day it just stayed there at the CVAC.
The customer rep. at on the CVAC Chat told me that I won't get the email related to trackign id untill they send out my passport to the IRCC. He however was kind enough to provide me that beforehand on chat. He could look me up by my name and dob.
4. The CVAC Chat is a hit or a miss. If you are feeling jittery then keep trying to ask the rep on chat. There are some good ones like Aaron C, who would go above and beyond to help you.
5. USPS updates their system a little late so your packet might be enroute but the updates online will be visible only after several hours.
6. For the USPS return evenlope, put both the From and the To field as your own address.
7. When USPS folks punch in the To address in their system, they don't specify the floor number or the organization name. This got me a little nervous :).

there is no update since my bio-metrics, i applied from Cleveland, ohio and gave my bio-metrics on 4/30/2019.

Did anyone receive an update on their status today or passport request today? Still haven’t received anything yet after Biometrics. Can I contact someone

I have applied for Canada Visitor visa on Jan 28th and provided Bio metrics on Feb 14th. There is no update so far on this application. We have already booked our flight for 17th May and followed up ( Webform ) almost four times and still there is no update.
Anyone else faced the same issue?

It’s been 5 days since I did my biometrics. It reflected but no request for my passport yet. Is anyone having this same problem with the Canada online application. I forgot a document and just attached it through the web form but nothing yet. Can someone please talk to me

I received a passport request and the final decision says my application has been approved. Has there anyone been rejected but received the same thing I have?
