Hi Folks. Hope you are having a wonderful time. A quick question. I recently applied for Canadian Visit Visa from USA as an International student and a Pakistani Citizen. Before I get a passport request, I travelled to Pakistan for some emergency and I’m still in Pakistan.

Today I got an email for “ Passport Request “ . What should I do as I am not in United States? Can I send my passport to the requested place from Pakistan? Thank You.

I have applied for Visitor visa for my wife and son. I am on F visa in California USA.

22 March : Application submitted

25 March : Bio-metrics done & reflected online

Still waiting for any decision? Anyone i same situation?

Here is my experience with Canada Visitor Visa process applied from USA

• March 19, 2019 - Submitted online visa application (myself, spouse and son)

• March 20, 2019 - Got notification letter to proceed for biometric

• March 20, 2019 - Booked biometric appointment at USCIS Application Support Center

• March 26, 2019 - Gave biometric(myself and spouse) at USCIS Application Support Center

• March 28, 2019 - Received confirmation for the biometric collection

• March 28, 2019 - Received passport request notification

• March 30 , 2019 - Sent passports via UPS with below items for each applicant in one package

  - Covering letter – Mentioned enclosed documents
 - Original Passport
 - Passport request letter received from IRCC.
 - VAC passport transmission fee $19.90 – Money order - 1 for each applicant
           - Two (2) signed VAC consent forms - 1 set for each applicant
 - Pre-paid return courier envelopes/shipping labels - 1 for each applicant
 - Contact Information - 1 for each applicant

• April 2 , 2019 - Got notification from VFS global – “dispatched to the IRCC Office”
• April 3 , 2019 - Got notification from VFS global –“ under process at the IRCC Office”
• April 3 , 2019 - Got notification from VFS global – “decision envelope has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, to the Canada Visa Application Centre in USA, New York”
• April 4 , 2019 - Got notification from VFS global –“An envelope of your decision that has been processed has been sent from the IRCC office”
• April 4 , 2019 - Got notification from VFS global – “Your processed decision envelope has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre in Canada Visa Application Centre”
• April 4 , 2019 - UPS return tracking – updated “shipped”
• April 8 ,2018 – UPS delivered the passports –(in 3 return envelopes )

Dear all, i was submit the ircc web form and they toll me as soon as informed me about the decisio, but its 7 days running there is no update from the canadian high commission new delhi, i am little bit upset about my applicatio, if any experience please share with me.

My employer have submitted the Canada work Permit application online for me. Here is the timeline

Taken the medical prior to submit the application
25th Feb 2019 - Submitted application
4th Mar 2019 - Completed - Bio metrics

Till today, I haven't receive the passport submission request. Its been more than a month after completing bio- metrics. Is there any facing this issue. I have given my bio metrics at Bangalore VAC.

Is any one in the similar position that VFS send an notification saying that passport envelope has collected by USPS but showing no tracking activity from USPS ?

In my case, it’s been ten days that I received an notification saying that USPS has collected the envelope as below but observed no tracking activity from USPS on there portal, when called USPS they says VFS didn’t sent the document. When called VFS@ 8882964511, they stated they have sent to USPS. Is anyone in same situation ? Please reply.

Is anyone else experiencing delays in late March? Looking at previous posts on the board, people tend to receive request for passport two days after biometrics. Here is my timeline:
* Resident in the U.S., US PR application pending
* 3/25: Filed my application for tourist visa
* 3/26: Received request for biometrics
* 3/26: Biometrics details reflected online
* No news ever since.

I am currently working in the USA on H1B visa, which is valid till December 2019. When I applied for Canada TRV visa in March 2019, I uploaded a copy of my H1B visa that had an expiry date of April 2018. I have the approval notice from USCIS that lists my extension.

My tourist visa was refused and one of the reasons was "You have not provided evidence that you currently hold valid immigration status in the United States of America". Can anyone let me know if this is the only reason for refusal? Is there a possibility to reopen and process my application?

I have applied for student visa (online method) and I have given my biometrics in Bangalore VFS office. I received a mail from VFS on 26th March saying the visa application is on transit to IRCC office Bangalore. After reading many of your threads I realised many have got the passport submission within 2 or 4 days. I haven't seen any student visa application so I don't know if that makes any difference. I still haven't been asked to submit passport or got may update after the last update that it's on transit. My visa application status tracked in website CIC.gc.ca has no change in the application. It's still showing eligibility and final decision as - we are still processing your request. Also it shows they don't need biometrics. Will there be any update on CIC.GC.CA or it's just pointless to look at it every 4 hours. I'm just getting worried because my college starts on May 06. Also I would like to know after biometrics submission they ask for passport submission right? Does that mean I got visa approved and if not what else process in left after passport submission and how long? Also how long do you think it takes to get student visa approved so I can book my tickets ASAP .Any input would be much appreciated. You guys are very helpful.

I got passport request letter today. I have few queries

1) Can I send all applicants passports (myself,spouse and son)together in one UPS envelop?
2) Is VAC consent form required for minor (my son -age 6)? if yes, what about signature?
3) Should I include return envelops for all the applicants?
