Here is my experience with canada Visitor Visa application.

19/Feb/2019- Application submitted online.
21/Feb/2019- Biometric Request Letter
25/Feb/2019- Biometric done at Jalandhar VFS office
26/Feb/2019- Biometric reflected in the profile
06/Mar/2019- Received Acknowledgement of application and UCI number.
21/Mar/2019- Received mail, (There is no update , since you last checked your profile

Still status is in process, no any update.

Here is my experience with Canada Visitor Visa applied from USA

• March 8, 2019 – Submitted (with family) application online and paid application fee ($100 CAD/applicant) and biometric fee ($170 CAD for Family).
• March 9, 2019 – Received Biometrics Collection Letter
• March 12, 2019 – Gave Biometrics at USICS Application Center. (I live in USA)
• March 12, 2019 –Biometrics details reflected online on same day. Biometrics is valid for 10 Years.
• March 13, 2019 – Request for original passport
• March 14, 2019 – Send passport on Fedx International Priority to Ottawa. Send all passport in 1 package with 1 return label and commercial invoice. Create label at home. Followed below link (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account/where-submit-passport/cross-border-shipment-instructions.html). No money order/cashier check for Ottawa office.
• March 15, 2019 – Passport received Ottawa Visa Office
• March 20, 2019 – Visa got approved. Approved until passport’s expiry date (-1).
• March 21, 2019 – Approved status reflected online
• March 26, 2019 – Passport with stamped visitor visa shipped. Got update from Fedx (I enabled email notification when I create FedEx online shipping label)
• March 27, 2019 – Received our passports

Overall experience was really great. Obviously there will be little tense moment, when we send passport until we receive it back. Hope this information will help whoever going to apply visitor visa.

Hello All,

I applied for my family's canada tourist visa on Feb 10th from US. Got the biometric for me and my wife and post that get also get the passport request. I also got the approved visa and stamp on my & wife passport.

But for my 11 year old daughter, application is still showing under process for more than 40 days. I have sent mail and filled web form also, but no reply. Can any body help with any IRCC LA office contact details or any thing else i can do to check on my daughter's visa status.

HI, I received a request letter from IRCC and mailed by passports on Mar 9, received by VAC NYC on Mar 12. Finally on Mar 20, I received tracking ID numbers in an e-mail indicating 'Your application is pending for the following reason: Biometrics'

I already gave my Biometrics in Chicago a month back, so not sure why they would say pending Biometrics. Has anyone experienced that? The online status still shows No record found.

I sent my application with all documents to the Canadian High Commission in Delhi on 19th February 2019, for my Permanent Residency Application as asked by IRCC under dependent  child category.I still did not get any update about my application whether it was received and is being processed. Could you please tell me when should I be expecting to receive further updates and instructions for my application?

I am following the instructions to create the FedEx shipping label at https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account/where-submit-passport/cross-border-shipment-instructions.html

But I cannot see the option of “SHIP DATE”: If not today or tomorrow (further in the future)

Anyone experienced the same issue?

I received my passport request for visitor visa.
As a part of the package to be sent to LA/NY VAC, we had to send a consent form. I have already provided my biometrics, so I was wondering what pages of the consent form should I be filling ?

Kindly confirm if the below list is fine or if I'm missing something:

1. Passport
2. Passport request letter
3. Consent form
4. Money order of 19.9$ in the name of “TT Visa Services Inc.”
5. Return shipping label with UPS or USPS. Is fedex accepted too ?

I'd really appreciate if someone could correct me if Im missing something.

My timeline -
Feb 27- submitted application (Online from USA)
Feb 28 - Got Bio metrics collection letter in evening
Mar 01 - Gave bio metrics, got passport submission request same day.
Mar 01 - 2 return shipping labels with International Customer Invoice and passports sent directly to Ottawa, Canada from USA.
Mar 08 - Got email and on application showing that my passport info is updated with Document number (I guess that is Canada visa number or something else) and Status as Document is Valid.

After that I have been tracking my return labels but no signs of shipment.
Waiting for the stamped passports to come.
Did all the expedited processing and paid 2 day shipping in Fedex so that things can be done fast but still waiting.

Anyone knows whats the Document number and document status actually indicates and how many days after this do they ship back the passports.

The whole process is hassle free. Apply online and once approved, send the letter received and the passport along with return envelope to NY or LA VAC centers.
For me it took over a month after sending it to NY VAC, the reason being that I was told we can send a banker's cheque of 41.50 USD for return courier service. But they don't have that facility and you need to send a return envelope. I sent the return envelope again and got it in a couple of days!

I submitted my online application yesterday 3/7. Looking at the forum, most people have got Biometrics letter the same or next day. I have not received it yet.

I do remember paying for the biometrics fees, so I think I am required to do the Biometrics. Getting a bit edgy because of the 50 day processing timeline (outside of biometrics) that they have and I need to attend L1 blanket interview on 5/2.

Any suggestions on where I can check / expedite for the biometrics letter?
