L1, L2 Visa

First of all thanks alot for this blog. It gives immense knowledge and confidence to attend the interview.

I woould like to mention here that the people in Hyd Consulate are very helpful and you will not feel any tension as its a really good place to be for interview.

After all the processes we proceeded to counter number 13.

Here is our conversation:

1. Where are you going mam (to my wife)
Ans: YYYY X, NC
2. Sir, how long have you been with your current company.
Ans: I have working with YYYY X from past 4 yrs and 7 months
3. Who is your client?
Ans: YYYY
4.wat are u gng to do for ur client?
Ans: After 2 sentences interuppted and then the golden words. Ur Visa is approved, have a nice stay in US.

We thanked her and walked away happily.

I would disagree with Shaikh who has written in previous blog that he saw people with dependetnts are getting rejected. I saw rejections only for Students. I was there for aroung 2 hrs and have not seen evn a single L1 visa rejected but yes there was a slim old lady was there she was rejecting many visas but mostly Student.

My Interview was at hyderabad on OCT 14th morning,
The staff at hyderabad US consulate are very cordial,they are really guiding very well if at all we dont know any process.The overall process took just 1 hr 15mins only.

Questions asked r

1.What u r doing to ur employer currently?(asking offshore responsibility)
Ans: I am the module/Technical lead for this project.
Interacting with the client and understanding the Business Requirements and explaining the same to my offshore team members...
2.How u r application helps the client?
Ans: My application is a IT-solution to the business process....
3:Is it a software?
Ans: Yes,it is a software,but it was developed thru a unique framework in which iam having a specialized knowledge.
4.What is the business process?(asked about the client's business?)
5.How long ur working for this project?
Ans: Iam working for this project for past 1year,but this is the 3rd project iam doing for this client..

No Questions to my wife..

Note: All L1,L2Dependent visa applicants becareful as we will be of opinion that as we r going with their wife our application gets approved as that is not the case..all it depends on the way u respond in PA..(as i personally saw rejected)
Practice the answers in advance..

Finally ,he told u r visa is approved..
For first few minutes i cant believe,later i was very happy..I really thank my God(Allah-shukere khuda) for giving me this success as it was my first Visa Interview.

I have interview on monday and I am going to work on Client location.So should I tell my work location client location or my company address as in some pages people told not to mention Client location. Help needed.

i have my L2 visa appointment on 18th october at hyderabad.i'm very much tensed about the visa process as i will be attending it with my 3 year old daughter.my husband is in US on L1 visa.are there any rejections for L2 visa.what will be the general questions?

Is this the first company you worked?
Current CTC?
Client?
(VO could not get it, spelt it and she told she knows the client)
Exp with client?
Is this the same client you went for the last L?
Skillset (messed it up according to me..VO was expecting short answers i thought and in my effort to keep it short messed it.) :)

At last she told Visa is approved.

My appointment was at 7.45 AM. I was there at 7 AM.

After all the checking formalities, the below questions where asked by the VO.

1. How long you are working with this company?
2. What is you specialized knowledge?
 I explained about our tool. (Make sure you slow and clear when you are explaining)
3. How long you are working with the tool?
4. Who is your previous client?

After those I have got those words which I awaited.

Thanked the VO and came out.

Here are the questions asked in my interview:

1. How long you are working with your employer?

2. What you are going to do in US?

3. Tell me about your Project?

4. How long you are working with this client?

Then he said your Visa is approved and you will get your passporrt in three days.

Thumb rule...If u have confidence and can speak well, noone can stop you from getting a VISA..

following were the questions

VO:Which company
Me: ---
VO: What are specialised knowledge
Me: I have an experience of 3 years in xyz domaian. I am working for the same client for the past 3 years, I am working in the same project for the past 2 and a hal years

VO: single or married
Me: Single

VO: we will process your VISA ib 5 working days
ME: thanks a lot

VO; No problem

She took the my passport

Thats ma experince. I prepared a lot and I prayed to GOD. By HIS grace everything happened smoothly

Got my visa stamped today.Thanks to this site I was able to explore through all possible questions.

My advice to all..Please be clear with "why you are going" ..ur petition and visa category.

The staff at counslate is very cordial (HYD) as against other places where I have visited earlier.

The only question asked to me was Why r yu going to US,No questions to Wifey.

So be prepared and unless you Goof up badly (God Forbid!!) you should get it easily.

Thanks for sharing your experiences..

To day I had my Interview and I was asked only question.." Why are you going to America?"

I gave one line answer about my project and thats all..

He signed my docs and said you will get your passport in a week..

I think for L1 B you go prepared, but need not worry much about it..
