Ceremony 05/12/2018

Any updates from Baltimore, MD? July 2017 filler and been in line for interview since August. I called USCIS, and they said everything is normal, and you need to wait.

Here is my time line to help others similar situation ( NY Queens filed office )
May 04/17 my application was received
May 15/17 finger print was schedule
Oct 10/17 interview in line
Jan 08/18 interview was schedule
Feb 15/18 interviewed decision can’t be made due to my long stayed outside US
May 07/18 Oath ceremony was scheduled and letter was mailed
Waiting for letter and ceremony
I understand how frustrated it is for others similar like me. I just tried not to think about it in a year time frame and make myself ready for any outcome. Finally the day arrived. Goood luck to every one

Hello, anyone who had the interview in Norfolk, VA? I have my interview there but I'm nervous about the civic test. If you can give me some tips or advise? Also, do you know how fast are they actually processing there?

I had my interview today in the Federal Building in DTLA. Timeline Below:

07/17/2017 Priority Date
08/04/2017 Biometrics (Walk-In)
09/18/2017 In Line for Interview Notice
04/02/2018 Interview Scheduled Notice
05/07/2018 Interview

My appointment was scheduled at 9:00 am. I checked in at 8:35 am and wasn't called-in until 9:20 am.

I walked into the interviewer's office and was sworn in.

We first did the English test.
I was asked to read: Columbus Day is a Federal Holiday observed in the US.
I was asked to write: We observe Columbus Day in October.

We then did the Civics Test. I had the following questions:

- What does the President's Cabinet do? They advise the president.
- How many justices are there? Nine
- We elect Senators for how many years? Six
- Name one branch of government. Congress
- What did the Declaration of Independence do? Declare Independence from Britain
- If both the President and the Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President? Speaker of the House.

We then went through the N-400 application with no incidence.
The IO then told me that he was recommending my application for approval.

All in all, I was in his office for no more than 15 minutes.
I'm now just waiting to receive my Oath Ceremony Notification.

is there any we can reschedule if you are not available in US, is there online rescheduling process?
By the time i get an interview i might be in INDIA, only able to see online status. is that rescheduling for later date is only via manual process, like filling the form and sending it to USCIS? Please let me know.

A while back it used to be usually around 5 months and you are done with this whole naturalization process. I saw a lot of my friends do it and never did i see it take long like i've seen on most peoples experiences here. Its frustrating.

 How to reschedule an interview when i will be outside the USA? My husband who is American will stay here but i have to go to Europe... I hope i will come back before my interview but i am not sure about that.. So far i don't have any interview notice but i expect that in July.

hey , i did my interview and the IO told me congrats you passed your test on March 15 till today i did not receive any update .
is it normal !!
