N400 Expedite Process at Baltimore Field Office
Hello,

We met the expedited criteria and got a letter saying that our application is under expedited review and should receive a decision within 30 days. Unfortunately, even 30 days passed by, but no decision has been made.

N400 -- Based on 5 Years Green card.

Expedite Request Date - 11/14/2023.

Could someone share their N400 expedite experience?

N-400 (Selective Service Questions/Issue)
Hello, I am getting ready to file my N-400 with the three year rule through marriage. My I-751 is still pending as I filed it last year but still have not heard from USCIS.

My questions is the following: I came to the U.S, when I was 15 y/o and I am now 30 y/o. Unfortunately, I never signed up for the Selective Service as I was never aware of it until now (otherwise, I would have registered). I received my green card/residence when I was 27 y/o and got my driver's license the same year so I was never even registered by USCIS or DMV since I was already aged out.

Will there be an issue if I apply now? Should I wait until I am 31 y/o to apply? My understanding is that if you are over 29 y/o and applying through the three year rule, I should be fine applying. I would appreciate any inputs or stories with a similar situation. Thank you in advance.

N-400 Timeline (Colorado Filer)
Hi everyone,

I recently had my N-400 approved and wanted to share my experience with anyone in a similar situation.

Case specifics/details:
1. Initially received GC through marriage to a US citizen.
2. Divorced and applied based on 5-year rule.
3. Service Center: Nebraska Service Center.
4. Applied online.

Evidence Submitted:
1. Divorce Certificate (required).
2. Driver's License (required).
3. Tax Transcripts for the last 3 years (not required, doubt you'd need to submit these).

Study Material used:
1. 39min long youtube video which went over all questions and answers. I'm not sure if external links are allowed, but the video is by the youtube channel: US Citizenship Group and the video is titled: Updated FULL Answers USCIS Official 100 Civics Questions and Answers US Citizenship Interview 2023.
I listened to the video a week before my interview during my daily walks and answered questions as I went along my walk. Just listen to the audio repeatedly and write down any questions you have trouble remembering. Some questions have many different allowable answers, but to make it easiest to remember I recommend using the same answers every time. Studying in this way was much easier than using flashcards or reading.

Timeline:

1a. Aug 06, 2023 - We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and sent you a receipt notice.

1b. Aug 06, 2023 - We are actively reviewing your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Our records showed nothing is outstanding at this time.

2. Oct 02, 2023 - We scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. (Interview was scheduled for Nov 13).

3a. Nov 13, 2023 - We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review.

3b. Nov 13, 2023 - Your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, was placed in line for oath ceremony scheduling.

3c. Nov 13, 2023 - We scheduled you for an oath ceremony for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.

3d. Nov 13, 2023 - Certificate Of Naturalization Was Issued.

The interview and process was very straightforward. I think I covered everything, but feel free to ask any questions you may have.

N-400 Application IL
Hi Guys,

I'm getting ready to file for my N-400 application in a few weeks time. I wanted to get your inputs on couple of things -

1) I used a lawyer for I-751 filing. Should I use a lawyer for N-400 application or I should do it online myself (it looks pretty straight forward and I have tons of bonafide marriage proofs)?

2) What documents would you suggest to include?

Any advise from you guys is much appreciated.

Thanks.

N-400
Hi everyone,
i have been a silent reader here and today am here to share my experiences with N-400 and pending I-751.

Timeline I-751 was received by uscis January 2022 and biometric was re-used service center Potomac.
April 2023. N-400 was submitted online and biometric was also re-used.

October 2023 N-400 interview was scheduled.

October second week I-751 case was transferred to NBC

First week of November interview day which was very brief at Baltimore field office, i got there on time with my spouse even though i was never asked to come with her or told i will be having a combo interview on the notice.
I was called in after waiting for about 30 minutes and the Officer was very friendly and professional, the Officer started by saying quotes i notice that you have a pending I-751 and am going to start with that in order to move ahead to your N-400 i then said OK.
she started by asking few questions like reconfirming my names, address and my job and of my spouse and kids after which we moved to N-400 which was very easy and go through the application itself and yes or no questions and then the Officer printed a piece of paper and said congratulations you pass the English and civic test and said my case has been recommended for Approval that my oath ceremony can not be schedule because I requested a name change that must be done at a federal judge so i should receive the Oath ceremony notice in the mail between 3 to 6 weeks.

later that day my I-751 status changes to interview was completed.

same day N-400 status change to case was submitted for quality review and same day case changed to your case was recommended for approval

November 9th I-751 was Approved.

December 8th Oath ceremony was scheduled

Ceremony loading!!!!!!!! Stay tuned 😉
