EAD (WorkPermit)

i just wonder how are you guys surviving all this waiting period without work? or do you work for cash? if get caught working for cash without EAD will it affect in the future the process?

i'm so frustrated and broke, i don't know how they expect us to live without work for all this period!!! i know there's always a chance to work for cash but there's also a chance to go rob a bank, it will be more lucrative and both are illegal jobs!

any updates from Nebraska office?

3 SRs till now 60, 55, 88 days

they replied on the first two together with one reply to just wait another 60 days. waiting for the the 3rd SR reply now...i'm so frustrated.

i've been told that this process takes 2-3 months, but from what i read in this forum no one got his card before 110 days and in some cases it can go up to 120+ .

Got an email from USCIS. 07/06/2017 My case is under review

07/12/2017. I Boldly visited congressman office to explain my case in person cuz the process has been frustrating. Was given a form to fill then was told they will call USCIS the next day.

07/14/2017. Cheched my online status and to my surprise it says My card is being produced.

I know how frustrating this process is. My advice to us all is to be patient and trust God to get things done at the right time. But trust me cuz that patient i didnt have anymore..Patient is all we have because i know the government is working hard to make sure all applicant's get possitive results.

for the record, my status was updated today to "new card is being produced" after raising the second service request today

My pd was 03/27/2017 and I was requested to present some initial evidence on 05/01/2017.

I contacted my congressman, raised SR, called many times USCIS, should I try to contact my senator for help? What do you guys think?

So, before I contacted my congressman I raised a SR so they replied today. And I received the same answer as USCIS sent to my congressman.

The status of this service request is:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly.

I filled my application for EAD card and also for an a green card but I still haven't received anything regarding my work permit ,
I thought it was supposed to be 90 days,
This is so freaking frustrating
Is anyone else experiencing this?
By the way my biometric was on April 18.

I applied for my OPT on March 27 and my status has been in "your case was received". I have called them several times but to no avail. I'm about to loose my job offer next week. My case is in the Potomac office. Anyone in similar case as me?

I have just read an article on USCIS website saying that on the EAD there is also the Advance Parole/travel document. This is how it was written:"USCIS today announced that it is now issuing employment and travel authorization on a single card for certain applicants filing an Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Form I-485."

If there are people here that received the EAD and that also applied with form I-131, can someone confirm this?

I am on day 114 (based on a pending I-485 - c9) and still didn't get my EAD. After my Biometrics, I heard nothing from them. I called on day 92 and asked what's going on, and they answered by mail few days later that my case is under review and I shall get an answer. But nothing yet....

same here filed on 12th February 2017. my Ead is also based on i485. in my case uscis asked for REQUEST FOR INITIAL EVIDENCE I (485) AND they recieved my response on 31st may. so they told me that my wait period is of 90 days from the date when they recieved my i 485 evidence which is 31st may 2017 not from the date of filing feburary 13 2017. and after 75 days wait period one can call them or can submit online request.when i raised a request online on i 765 they updated on web that request for name change has been accepted. one thing more i would like to share about green card interview process is that when uscis updates your status online your case is ready for interview then it takes atleast 6 months to fix interview date. in my neighbour one guy came on k1 fiance visa and his case went like this only. so all i can say is have patience friends.
