Folks,

I was given a 221(G) query, asked to drop the documents, at local VFS drop box.

I was asked for End client letter, but mine was assigned to a in-house project of US employer.

How long does it take, right after I post the docs.

As Iam asigned to a internal project, I wont be having any client.

Thanks for IMMIHELP.COM and its really helped me in gaining confidence before my PA for H1B on Oct 31st at 2:30pm at Chennai. All the experiences of
the people are really helpful and I do want to publish my experinece and do bit of my contribution to this site.

For starters the process before PA is :

1) Security Check at the gate (Pls don't be more than 15 mins at the place. Otherwise u need to wait for long time which wil zap all ur energy in the sun. Even though my interview was at 2:30pm, I just went at 2:30pm and in 15 mins I went inside crossing the line as they call all the applicants by time even though you stand in queue for 1 or 2 hrs before)
2) Doc's Verification - They arrange all doc's and provide u in a folder and the colour of folder will be depending on the kind of Visa
3) Finger Print Scanning - They take both left and right index finger scanning.
Pls note : Even though they may say finger scanning, VO's can take interview right and there itself. Pls be careful. They had taken
interview for 5 of the applicants before me and for me they had taken the finger print and asked to wait
4) Final Visa Interview

Pls find the questions asked during my H1B Visa PA on Oct 31st at 14:30pm
 
1) VO: What are you going to do there ?
Explained the roles and responsibilities
2) VO: Whether it is a in house or client project ?
Client Project
3) VO: Who is the client ?
I will be assigned to client once I report in YYYY
4) VO: So you do not know which client you will work
Yes sir, and since YYYY has lot of clients ...
5) VO: Ok ! I understand
6) VO: How long are u in this role ?
Past 19 months (he was asking abt my oracle exp)
7) VO: When did u join YYYY ?
I will be directly joinning YYYY America once I get Visa as I am currently serving notice period with present organization
8)VO: Ok Thats great !! Your Visa is Approved. Have a Nice TIme

My Interview was only for 2 mins as I represent a BEP company but overall I can see more than 90% visa acceptances.

Length of interview depends upon the company, existing company and educational qualifications

Learnings:

Pray to God. Be confident, Clear, smile and slow while speaking
Keep all documents and keep in front so that it is visible to VO that you have all the documents kind.

First of all I would like to thank to all those people who had added their experiences.......This site is magic........Helpled me alot.....I was the regular visitor of this site. Not talking much I should share my experience.

1)In the morning I went to Mandir to pray GOD
2)My interview was at 10.00 AM, I left home at 7.45 AM thinking I would reach at by 9.00 AM. But I couldn't get Auto for 20min....I started worrying what should I do But at last I got auto.I reached there at around 9.15am
3)Security guy was sitting to see if my name is listed in his sheet. Then another security guy checked my handbag..There was packet of Unclechips in my bag....he told me give ur pen I need to take air out of this packet.I told him u should better take this and eat but he told u can take this packet inside.
4)I stood in long queue .There were vfs guys helping us to arrange the docs in proper way.Then we went to counters of vfs guys....who were cross checking our docs. like passport, hdfc receipt, draft, D156,D157 I797
5) Then we went inside .where they kept things like mobile, bags etc and gave me a token.
6) Again a security check
7) Queue for finger printing
8) Again queue for Interview.
9) There were two rejections in front of me.I was worried what we happen with me..... Incident was like this...........a Lady VO was taking interview .a north indian guy was trying to convince her but she was reluctant to give a visa. He started arguing with me , she got irritated and called a securty to get rid of this guy. I prayed to GOD that please this lady shouldnot take my interview. GOD listened to me and I was called by handsome 30years old guy

10) Questions asked to me.
a) Name of company
b) What's ur desgination
c) What project who ur going to work
d) Name of client
e) What's ur qualification( I was from non-IT background.........so immediatly told hime I am also an IBM certified developer...He was convinced)
f) Are u married
g ) Why wife didn't came with you
Ans: She will join me later
h) Golden words...........YOUR VISA IS APPROVED

No documents checked.............

I was happy.......

Now.....instruction for u guys
1) Be very confident and cool........
2) To get confidence.............visualise that u already got visa..........and feel the happiness.....This will create lot of positive energy around you......I did it and it is a fact.The people who r genuine can do this to generate lot of positive energies around you.
3) Take all the documents you have.......if your company reputation is good...they might not check the documents
4) Give the answer instantly.......don't take time to answer.It should be like general conversation.(This is possible if have lot of confidence)
5) Do lot of mocks in front of mirror...

I can¡¦t express my words to say thanks to this website.

All you are really great who shared their experiences. I am also thanks to those who got 221(G). My true feelings with them.

Not without taking much time I would like to explain my exp.

My app was on 10 AM. I reached there by 9:20. like all days, this day was also crowd.
 
So many people and long queues that makes you unnecessary nervous. (Don¡¦t get bothered. Same condition at other side also)

I got the chance to get in by 11:00 clock. Usual security checking.

After that 2 finger scanning and document submission. I did all these smartly but inside from my mind I was little bit nervous.

Then the VO called my number and I went to the Corner for the interview.


She asked me only 5 questions and not demanded a single document. (Though I was carrying each and every thing)

1. What is your purpose of you Visit?
2. How long you intend to stay there?
3. Do you have any relatives there?
4. What you will do there?
5. How did you get this job?


That¡¦s all and my ears were waiting to listen the 3 golden words that you visa has been approved.

And finally she said that. ļ Happiest situation for my self.

I know that my interview wasn¡¦t so tough but I would like to suggest few things before you go for interview.

1. Prepare each and every document that suggested in the previous blogs. Though your employer says that no need to carry this document then also you should carry those document. No Photo copy only original. And there is no need to keep one extra copy for each. The consulate office having big XEROX mc. If they required they will take the XEROX,
2. Don¡¦t forget the step 1. prepare each and every document that you can. Document is the only key of your success.
3. Make your self confident. I know that every person who already got stamping it¡¦s very easy to say him. But to be very frank with you guys have faith in your self.
4. Do not carry any electronics items. This time they were not allowing to wear the DIGITAL watches. So make sure that you have a analog one,
5. You attire should be impressive. Clean shave (Not in case of Girls ļ) and wear the best dress that you have.

Here is my experience regarding My H1B
My Appointment is on Nov 2nd at 12:00 noon and I was at 11:30:00 at consulate.
They have allowed me in and I was standing in Queue for nearly 3 ½ hrs and my Interview was gone at 2:30:00 PM.

Vo: Good afternoon Mam
Me: Gud after noon sir
Vo: He asked my folder
Me: I gave him
Vo: Your Degree Certificates Pls
Me: Sure Sir, and I gave him.
Vo: Since How Many years r u working
Me: 3+ years sir
Vo : what courses did u do and give me ur Computer certificates pls
Me : I gave my computer course certified in PGDCA
VO: He said these certificates are not valid and he gave me a white Paper and asked me to explain the professional experience in these 3 years.
Me :I took the paper and explained him in brief way.
Vo :He took that paper and asked me to wait.
Me :I was waiting for nearly 3 hrs.
Vo: Some other vo officer called me at 6:00 P.M.and asked me to sign on which I explained my Professional experience.
Me : I took the paper and signed ,and gave him back.
Vo: He gone inside and came back after ½ hour.
Me: I was really got feed up on that day. And he gave me back my passport and said that he is going to send my Educational certificates to evaluation to USA saying that how did they issued me I 129 for me.


Guys who are all not Computer back ground students be careful while ur producing Computer course certificates to Vo officers that will be key point for all other Back ground students, if ur Engineering student also.
Don’t think only Offer letter of ur employer, client letter,I129 and Ur educational certificates and current experience .salary slips, Bank statements are only key….

So please be careful in ur computer course certificates also, as this is my experience………
