Hi All,
I just want to share my experience with my Canada Work Permit. I already gave bio metrics for my visitor visa last year,hence no bio metrics required for my WP.

Application Submitted - April 29,2020
Correspondence letter for Biometrics validity -July 6
Request to submit passport - July 13
Submitted passport to Consulate of Canada (LA) - July 14

Has any got the biometric instruction letter yet for ICT canada visa (GSS category) or any other visa category? Application support center are opening up here on July 27th.

Hi there! I am currently in the US but on an nonimmigrant visa. I applied for a student permit and temp visa to Canada on the first of June and was given a biometrics request the following day
 I would like to know if anyone here can advise me where it is better to get the biometrics done. The Canada Visa application centers are still closed [in New York City and Los Angeles] and it was tentatively announced the LA office should open on the 22nd but still not sure. The USCIS Application application support centers are tentatively supposed to open on the 29th. I would like to know if anyone has experience here going to the Application Support Center instead of the Visa Application Center of Canada for biometrics? I know the USCIS is very slow in processing everything these days and would not want my application to be delayed because of them.

I had completed my biometrics for my Canada work permit on 03/16/20 from USA.. But till now I haven't got any updates on my visa. Did anyone get approval recently or in the same boat? Any answers would be really helpful. Thanks in advance !

Hi.. We have applied Work permit from Hyderabad India on February 13.2020. Still status showing as processing at New Delhi. Is anyone else on the same page?

I am an IT professional, I have applied for Canada Work Visa (ICT) on 4th March 2020 through online and given bio metric on 7th March.
Medical already passed on 6th March and still the status showing as " We are processing your application' " Verifying your back ground etc'.

Normally how many days it take for for a response? Is there anyone in the same boat? Please advise.

Hi

I applied to Tourist Visa Online and gave biometrics and sent in the passport on march 5th 2020. Today my online status says "your application was approved"
and there is a entry in the document status Tab with Information such as Name, UCI, Document Number, Status, expiry date, Travel document number.

Does this mean that they have stamped the visa on my passport and I will be getting my passport back?

Hi I am currently in United States want to visit Canada to for my H1b visa interview. I applied for the visa and got a response as below for rejection:

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on your immigration status.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident, as stipulated in paragraph 179(b) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

I selected the purpose for visit as "meet friends or family". I see there is an option "Other", but no section to mention what that reason is? Can anyone help and guide me to where to put my reason as "Interview at USA consulate" on new application questionnaire?

Also, What supporting documents should I provide on new application. I only provided my pay stubs as the website only allow you to upload single document. How can I put multiple document as zips are not allowed? Need help on documentation.
