My fiance is from the country Georgia but used to live in Russia
I met my fiance in the year 2003 while studying in Moscow, Russia. I speak russian fluently having studied in russia for 5 yrs.
I have been dating her now for 7 yrs now. Of the 7 yrs i have gone to visit her 6 times with the latest being this month March 2010 when i went to visit her in her native country Georgia and met her whole extended family which i had already known by now.
I proposed to her and we are now officially engaged and would like to bring her over to the US and marry her. This i know for sure after dating her that long that she is the one for me.
I live in alexandria VA and wanted to know how long the process takes.
Ive read and it stated that 1st of all the application submitted by me has to be approved. Whats the time frame from personal experience.
basically i have no idea on the time frame on the steps.
Please assist

My question is can you reapply for K1 visa offer you withdraw your initial petition that was approved? and if so how long do you have to wait and what additional information if any do you have to supply? My K1 fiance visa was issused July 09. If anyone can shed light on the situation I would be greatly appreciative.

I have been dating my boyfreind for 2 years he is from Jordan. We had met when i had lived there (for 2 years and went to school there) we have been apart for 1 year now, i visited him this past summer and we have plenty of pictures from before i moved to the US and when i went on vacation there, i also have pictures of us with freinds in jordan, my mother and his parents, we have only 1 receipt from when we went to the dead sea (i wish we had gotten more, but we were to wrapped up in having fun) I also might have my ticket stubs, OH and my $1800 phone bill from the first month i moved back to the US... I know that is plenty of proof, but i am scared because we are both young i am 18 and he is 23. His brother is a US citizen and his parents have greencards, but i am still scared that they will not accept it, especially because he has applied for immigrant visas twice and was denied, the reason he did this is because my father wasnt letting me petition for him to come here because he said i was too young and he wanted me to finish college first, but i convinced him that school is the most important thing to me and to my boyfreind. So he wanted to be next to me and tried to apply on his own...so i am scared that that will affect our chances of getting the visa and finally being together permanently... please help tell me your opinions!

note: last posting i mispelled my email address.

i came here in the united states last dec.2006 with K1 fiance visa, found out that the person was cheating and violent so i moved out but didn't leave the country, eventually married a
