OCI Card

Hello, not sure if this is the right place to ask; but I have a couple of questions. I will really appreciate if someone can help me.

1. In the govt website, there is a question "Do you have relatives staying in India?". I searched this forum and in google, and many people are saying that they wrote "No immediate family in India". Is this ok to write? Me and my wife is in USA, but our parents are in India. Do they contact the family members for any reason?

2. My apartment address in USA is in the following format:
1234 West ABCD Street,
Apt A
City
State
Zip.
The problem is in the CKGS website when I opt for either UPS or Fedex and check for the address service, it automatically modifies the address without the "West" in the Street address.
My drivers license and utility bills have "West" in the street address, but nowadays when I order something online, sometimes it comes with "West ABCD Street" and sometimes just "ABCD Street". The CKGS website says the address must match with the address proof. Any suggestions on what I should do?

I received OCI today for my daughter. It took a month to get.

We received the OCI card for our kid, I'm surprised to see that there are only 5 blank pages. Does anyone know, with 5 blank pages how many times the kid can travel in/out of India.

I completed my OCI on CKGS made the payment and processed to complete Part 1 on https://ociservices.gov.in/. I uploaded a signature and photographs.

However, in midst of putting together the required documents, I misplaced a photograph and now only have one passport photo.
The checklist clearly states that I have to submit the same photographs that were uploaded.
 
Can I redo my part 1 of the application on ociservices website? Does redoing this have any impacts on my application processing or do I have to forfeit the payment I made?

Also, for notarizing the "affidavit in lieu of originals" all I need to do is have the document notarized?
FAQ's on CKGS states "Only specific documents need to be notarized as mentioned in your checklist." but I see only "affidavit in lieu of originals" to be notarized.

Applied New OCI Card for my son at Washington DC. Here are the timelines.

Dec 21, 2018: Application received by CKGS
Dec 24, 2018: In transit to Embassy
Dec 25, 2019: Date Of Acknowledgment at Embassy
Jan 2, 2019: Original Passport received at CKGS
Jan 3, 2019: Passport delivered at home
Jan 22, 2019: Document Printing - Status changed to “Processed”
Jan 23, 2019: Document received at WASHINGTON DC
Feb 1, 2019: OCI received at CKGS
Feb 5, 2019: OCI delivered at home

Sorry, I am posting the issue here since I thought this is the most appropriate forum to discuss this type of query. I did some online search where I saw few OCI card holders posting their experiences obtaining security clearance with US Federal Government for certain type of jobs that require security clearance or accessing classified information.

I realize OCI is a life long visa and and certainly does not grant a dual citizenship, but the name itself is somewhat misleading and the US Government interprets it differently. I am debating whether to apply OCI cards for self and kids who have PIO cards.

I have seen some threads which talk about this issue but most have not followed up as to whether the OCI had created any problems or not in the security clearance process. Any experiences you can share?

Please advise if I need to enclose copies of parents naturalization certificates when applying for OCI in lieu of PIO card for a Minor. We applied for Indian Passport renunciation at NY CKGS on Monday and yet receive the canceled Indian Passports. Also please advise if I need to notarize only the information page of the applicant's passport.I plan to send the following documents:

1. Two (2) original photographs
2. One (1) original OCI Application Form
3. One (1) original & notarized parental authorization form
4. One (1) copy of original checklist
5. One (1) copy of copy of Address Proof of applicant & parents (Water bill)
6. One (1) original and self-attested copy of PIO card
7. One (1) notarized copy of USA Passport
8. One (1) copy of Additional Particulars form
9. One (1) copy of Payment Receipt
In addition to the above documents, I plan to send the following supporting documents that I have uploaded on Indian Government website to verify the relationship with the minor applicant.
1. Minor Applicant’s Birth Certificate
2. Minor applicant’s parent’s Indian Passports
3. Marriage certificate of minor applicant’s parent’s

Hello I applied for an OCI due to re-issue of new passport and it is under review at the consulate on January 31. Wondering how long it will take. The mission place was Atlanta.

2019 JAN 11: Submitted 11th Jan Friday, at NY CKGS walk in
2019 JAN 14: Reached my Application on Monday to Consulate
2019 JAN 14: original passport verified and dispatched to my address
2019 JAN 14: Accepted my application and on Govt site also updated
2019 Jan 15: received my original US passport
2019 Jan 15: Govt site got acknowledgment and Under Process

Please let me know how long it will take to get OCI card??at New York Center only reply
