advance parole
Hello everyone I was just wondering if anyone has been approved who sent their request for advance parole in December. Also how long did it take for anyone to get approved. My husband applied for one but has only received a receipt number.

Undecided
Hi guys. I found this forum and I think it great that is full of good stories.

I have DACA and I have the opportunity to travel with AP to see my family in Mexico, but I am so nervous about doing that because I have so much to lose if I can't make it back (my kids and wife all US citizens, my business, my clients, my house, etc)

Do you know if anyone who has been denied re-entry and why?
Is better to fly back to the US or by land?
Is it a good idea to take my family with me?

I am so undecided and nervous.

Traveling with AP
Hey Guys,
I recently got my AP approved and I have until September to travel. However I am in a dilema if I should go and travel under Trump's administration? I'm also in school so the earliest I could go and visit family in Mexico is March 13-19. But my parents want me to travel with my 10 year old brother but they want me to wait until summer break. I am unsure on what to do now, should I risk and wait until summer or go at the earliest possibility? What would any of you do?

Traveling with AP
Hello everyone!

I submitted my application for AP to take a class abroad. As I read these post I notice that most trips are about a week long. My class abroad will be a full month, does anyone have experience traveling and being out of the country for that long?

Traveling with AP
Hello guys! I traveled to Ecuador and made it back without any issue. I'm describing my experience when leaving and when coming back as I didn't know the process when leaving and I had many questions about it. I traveled from the JFK, when I went to do to the check in, I showed the lady my passport and my AP. She said she doesn't know how to use it, she called another guy and he said they happily check me in but they are not responsible if I'm not able to come back. I freaked out so I called my lawyer, he explained that I have to check in using just my passport and show my AP card to the officer once I go to pass security. Once I check in, I went to pass security and told the officer that I'm traveling with AP, she just looked at it and wrote down something on a paper she had and I was ready to go and wait to board the plane. Once it was time to come back I checked in with my passport and AP, they knew the process. Once I had to pass immigration, again I showed the guy my passport and AP, everything went to smooth and quickly. Went I arrived to the JFK, I went to the visitors line, (first I had to filled out a paper where I and to say what I'm bringing with me) but one of the guys who works there (I guess helping you with any questions you have as they don't have a security uniform neither they are officers) told me to go the U.S citizens line. I guess he said that because I was with my 2 year old brother who is a US citizen. He took us to the line where handicap travelers go so I didn't have to wait a lot. Once it was my turn the lady checked our documents, she stamped my brother's passport, she took my fingerprints and my picture. Then she took us to an office where two officials were, she handed my papers to one of them. While he was checking my documents the other official came to talk to my baby brother, he was really nice. Neither one of them asked me any questions and made me feel comfortable and confident. In about 7 minutes the officer was done and was good to go. Taking my brother with me helped a lot because everyone loved him and I got to skip the long lines thanks to him. I'm so happy, I haven't been in my country for the last 7 years and I enjoyed every second of it. don't be afraid guys, if you have the opportunity go and enjoy!! I thank everyone who posted their experience here as it help me a lot. If it wasn't for you I would have traveled. I hope my experience help more people.

Advanced Parole
Hello guys,

I am waiting for my approval for AP but was wondering if some of you that have traveled and come back safely can answer these questions.

Does immigration scan your fingers prints and take a picture of you before taking your AP papers?

Do they just verify that your AP papers are in order or are they running a quick real time background check on you?

What kind of questions do they ask you?

thanks
