Getting cheated by taxi drivers at Charles de Gaulle Airport
Last year, we took a taxi from CDG airport to Paris city center. Though the rates were already flat, we spent more than was needed: besides the fixed price of €50, the driver demanded a surcharge of €10 and €3 for baggage (€1 for each item). In the end, we had to pay €63. On the way back to the airport, we used this transfer service https://kiwitaxi.com/en/france/de+gaulle+airport and paid just €54! When we reached CDG, the airport staff told us we were just ripped off on our way to Paris. That was kind of dissapointing, I would never think such things may happen at such a great air hub. Hope other tourists will keep this in mind when coming here.
