I am applying for Passport Renewal and have one query . In the website it says that the online application should exactly match the current passport , however in my case due to change in the online application form upgrade where field are pre populated with State . My current Passport says in place of Birth " Chennai TN" , but now the new application mentions " Chennai Tamil Nadu " due to new online form format . Please let me know if anybody had been through the same situation and whether a cover letter would help ?
