Below is my OCI renewal experience in New York so far. I availed the OCI Miscellaneous Services where you need to have your OCI reissued when you get a new passport after age 20.
12/21/22 - Application sent via Fedex
12/22/22 - Application received by VFS but unable to proceed due to missing documents
12/27/22 - Missing documents sent via Fedex
12/28/22 - Missing documents received by VFS, status changes to "Under Process"
12/29/22 - Application processed by VFS and "In-Transit" to Indian Embassy
12/31/22 - Acknowledged by Indian Embassy
Current Status "Under Process"
I will add on to this as I get more status updates.

01/31/23 - Processed
02/02/23 - Your Application has been reviewed by the Embassy of India/ Consulate General of India & will be dispatched using the courier service you had opted.
02/03/23 - OCI received in hand
