We were in the process to apply for EAD renewal (no USCIS fee for that) as it was expiring in 2.5 months. Also, note, we didn't have an interview. The online status changed from "Sent for RFE" to "New Card is Being produced".
Now we are waiting to get the GC in hand. I highly recommend creating a USCIS online account which gives you the history and supposedly a tracking number for the GC. I will update that once I receive the GC. For now hang in tight. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
