Expired H1B but has a valid i-797a - possible options in getting Visa Stamping from India
Our H1B and H4 was expired on March 2020 - We both now have I-797a that's valid till Feb 2023.
Could you advise me with my possible options in getting my new valid Visa stamped from India If we are able to visit India in mid August 2021 (for 2 months).
Whether I can still avail Drop Box facility even though the same Class Visa (same company) stamped from India previously was expired more than 12 months ago. ( is there any waiver now just like it was extended to 24 months last year?)
I can see that Mumbai US Consulate is opening on 7th June 2021 as per https://in.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/ if that's the only US consulate opening, whether I can schedule an appointment there even though my closest / assigned US Consulate is Chennai.
