Oct 17th, 2019 - Booked visa appointment for earliest date available(Apr 2nd, 2020)
Nov 09th, 2019 - After regularly checking - i was able to find a earlier appointment date(Feb 27th, 2019)
Feb 27th, 2019 - My appointment was at 9:10 AM. Reached the consulate by 8:40 AM. I went to the front desk - where i got checked-in.Then went through the security, post which we were seated in a waiting room. When it's time, security guard will escort people in groups to 10th floor for biometrics and visa interview. On 10th floor - first window checked passport, photo and I797 approval. Next window collected the fingerprints. Last Window visa interview(Basic questions - Purpose of travel to US/Employer Details/Designation/Highest level of Education etc.)
Whole process completed around 10:30 AM.
Status of DS 160 was "Administrative Processing" when checked after reaching the hotel (around 10:40 AM)
Feb 28th, 2019 - Around 11 AM the DS 160 status updated to "Issued"
Feb 28th, 2019 - Received email at 12:30 PM with courier tracking number.
Currently waiting for "Ready to pickup" email to collect the passport
