H1B Visa Stamping in Canada
Hi All,
I am currently in US. My H1B visa stamp expired on 28-Feb-2020 and I have an approved I-797A until 03-Feb-2022. I am from India and planning to travel back to India in Dec 2020. Since all US consulates are closed in India, looks like there is no chance to get a new visa stamp if I decide to go to India. I was exploring a visa stamping in Canada for Indian citizens. I created an account on Yatri (The official Visa Information and Appointment system for the Embassy of the United States in Canada) and paid a visa appointment fee. I think I got lucky and was able to book an appointment in Calgary for 24-Sep-2020 (even though there are no open slots for months in any of the US consulates in Canada). Is it possible and safe for me to travel to Canada for this visa stamping and enter US with a new visa stamp?
